KEEP UP THE CONVO WITH PLAY SAFE 2026

This year, Play Safe is asking every adult in football to Keep Up The Convo with children and young people – not just over Play Safe Weekend, but throughout the season.

Safeguarding isn’t only about knowing what to do when something’s wrong. It’s also about creating regular opportunities for children and young people to share what matters to them – and showing them their views are heard and taken seriously.

On the pitch. On the sidelines. On the way home. At pick-up and drop-off. Everyday moments are opportunities to Keep Up The Convo.

Keep it light. Start with fun and easy topics.
Keep it open. Ask open questions and give them space to share.
Keep it active. Reflect, repeat, respond. Show you’re really listening.

Our Veterans have battled their way into the next round of the Cup, knocking out a team TWO DIVISIONS higher than us! 👏⚽

After a hard-fought game, it all came down to penalties — and the Wanderers held their nerve when it mattered most! 🥶🥅

A fantastic achievement and a huge credit to everyone involved. 💪

This is the fourth match the team have played together and our lads just knocked out a very strong Silverstone side—who are currently two divisions higher than us—to progress in the cup! ⚽

To everyone visiting **Kents Hill Pavilion today**, please take a moment to park responsibly and consider the impact your parking can have on local residents, access and our volunteers.

🚗 **Please do NOT:**
❌ Block driveways
❌ Block drop kerbs
❌ Park on verges

**Pitch parking:**
🏟️ **Pitches 1–4 (in front of the pavilion)** → Please use the **Allotment Car Park**.
🏟️ **Pitches 5–8 (behind the pavilion)** → Please use the **Main Car Park**.

We are all doing the very best we can to get games underway each week. There are a huge number of volunteers working behind the scenes to make football happen, often in challenging circumstances.

💚 **Please remember that we have a ZERO DISRESPECT tolerance policy at MK Wanderers FC.**

That applies to everyone — **volunteers, officials, club representatives, coaches, players and supporters.**

We all want the same thing: **a positive environment where everyone can enjoy their football.**

‘MK Wanderers Mini-Kickers’ sessions are our fun-filled introductory sessions to football. Our weekly sessions provide the ideal first step on a young person’s journey into the ‘beautiful game’.

Children aged 4-6 take part in a wide range of football-based activities designed to improve their physical literacy; running, jumping, balancing, rolling, bouncing, throwing, catching and of course, kicking are all areas developed through age-appropriate tasks.

Using imagination and creativity, the children play their way through many different football-themed sessions whilst socialising and ultimately having fun!

Many of the sessions are adult and child based where a parent or guardian is able to join in with their child to support them through any initial apprehension.

After an incredibly tough season last year, we lost a few players and welcomed some new faces......the team worked incredibly hard throughout the summer — and it’s already paying off!

They’ve kicked off the **2026/27 season in outstanding fashion with a brilliant 5–0 win!** 🔥👏

What a start! The hard work, determination and team spirit are shining through, and its amazing to see the smiles on their faces.
