U15s Northern had their first run out of the season this past Sunday with a great game against Whitley Bay Rockcliff RFC. Our boys kept going when down to 14 and WBR pushed all the way to the final whistle. Looking forward to this season if that’s anything to go by.

We are all proud of our Northern Amazonian, Amelie Lenham, who has received super recognition for her performance in rugby league this summer. It doesn’t matter what code you play; rugby is a special sport, it teaches our young players, team work, respect, enjoyment, how to work hard and creates lifelong friendships.

Before kick-off, we will hold a minute’s applause in memory of former player Steve Walters, following the sad news of his passing.

We would like to invite any players who played alongside or for Steve during his time at Northern to come down, watch the game and share stories and memories of Steve’s life with his friends and former teammates.
