FANtastic News🚨 Jetts Newquay Just Got A LOT Bigger! 🚨
This is one we've been keeping quiet for a while…
The large parcel of land opposite Jetts, which we've been using as our overflow car park, was sold to developers with plans to build nine bungalows. Had that gone ahead, we would have lost a huge amount of parking, while adding even more traffic and congestion to Quintdown Business Park.
Then, at the very last minute, we were given the opportunity to purchase the land ourselves.
So... we did. 💪 (at great cost)
The result? Jetts Newquay has more than doubled in size, giving us an incredible amount of additional space and exciting opportunities for the future.
So what's happening next?
🚗 Overflow Parking
For now, the land will be split into two sections, with one half becoming a dedicated overflow car park for Jetts members. We'll be installing a barrier entry system, creating parking bays and improving the whole area to make it far easier to use.
🚧 Improving Access To The Business Park
This has been one of the biggest reasons behind the purchase.
We've been working with local councillors and Cornwall Council regarding the ongoing parking issues throughout Quintdown Business Park. Until ownership of the land was resolved, it was difficult to push plans forward.
We've been informed that double yellow lines throughout the estate are expected to be included in the proposed 2027 budget, which if it goes ahead, will make access to and from the business park much safer and far less congested for everyone.
This is a huge investment in the future of Jetts Newquay and, most importantly, a better experience for all our members.
