It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of one of our founding members - John Bawden.
John passed away peacefully at home on Monday following a brave battle with Cancer.
He has been involved with our club for over 60 years as a rower, coxswain, secretary, treasurer, commodore and trustee of the Gigs.
‘From the Scillies to the Serpentine, from New York to North Quay starter, he’s been there & done it!’
A lifelong member whose knowledge and expertise of the Gigs will be truly missed not just in Newquay but throughout the county.
We send our condolences to family & friends during these difficult times.
Funeral details to follow 🙏
