It’s a been a fantastic few weeks at the Centre, despite the winter rolling on, the sun is still shining and the water is still lovely so it’s perfect for you guys to get outdoors 💦🙏🤘

Super fun waves in Newquay today 🔥

The forecast was correct and there are clean 3ft waves down at Fistral this morning perfect for all levels of surfing. There is also a really nice little wave in the bay for beginners 🙌

We’re happy to confirm that this video is 100% real! We captured this incredible footage just before lunchtime down at Fistral Beach yesterday.
It’s super rare to catch this on camera, and it just goes to show how lucky we are to share our coastline with such amazing marine life. 🤯

Bluefin Tuna can be spotted in our waters from mid-summer through to late autumn, and seeing them here is a fantastic sign of a healthy, thriving marine ecosystem. 🙌🤩

Newquay Activity Centre on ITV NEWS 📺💥

On Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting 88 pupils from Mount Charles Primary School to take part in one of our School Coasteering Adventures. ITV News covered one of the groups as they went out into the Gazzel with Newquay Activity Centre Lead Instructors Rosie, Morgan and Kittow. This insightful program highlighted the benefits of schools taking part in adventurous activities like Coasteering as part of their Academic Enrichment Programmes. 🌊📚

Mount Charles Primary School have one of the best Academic Enrichment Programmes in Cornwall and it was fantastic to work with them to deliver this experience for their students. 🙌🙏

Coasteering is a fantastic activity for young people to take part in as it pushes them outside of their comfort zone both physically and mentally. Students walk away from activities like this with a real sense of achievement and pride in what they have completed. These benefits translate into other areas of life, including in the classroom, with pupils gaining more self-confidence and more motivation to take on new challenges and learn from their experiences 💥

Here at the Activity Centre, we take pride in our local community and sometimes that means giving back to the youth clubs that are all over newquay 🤘⚡️🫡

Last week it was the Newquay Surf Life Saving Clubs’ end of season do and they took our Super Stand Up Paddleboards to the shores to play some fun games down on Towan beach 💻🏄‍♂️🫶

These nippers have worked hard this year competing all over the country including the nationals at our very own Holywell bay 🚣‼️👀

The team here at the Centre wish them all a great winter training in the pool and good luck with all the competitions that lie ahead 🤗🙌👍

That’s a wrap on the lifeguard week for our students and everyone has passed with flying colours, after a tough week of training this is the well deserved result we were expecting! 🏄‍♂️🙏🤯

The students took to Towan beach and completed their practical assessment which now renders them all qualified lifeguards ready to begin their surf instructing careers 😁🤘🫡

Next week their training the techniques on the ABC surf lesson template with Barrie Hall but now it’s the weekend and it’s time to relax 💤💤💤

With next weeks swell lining up perfectly, they students are in for a good one so stay tuned for updates on our page 💻🧑‍💻
