An excellent day out for the small Norwich Canoe Club team at the Pangbourne Hasler on Sunday, with several real breakthrough performances.

Pangbourne is one of the largest Hasler events in the country and, with a truly beautiful setting, a wide stretch of the Thames and warm weather, it made for a perfect day of high-quality racing. Thanks to Pangbourne Paddlesports for hosting a great day!

It was brilliant to see such a big Norwich team at the September Sprint Regatta. Even better, six paddlers were racing at Nottingham for the very first time – Kirk, Rob B, Magnus, Heath, Frank and Victor – with new parents joining the team too.

We had great weather and a really enjoyable atmosphere: lots of fun and support around the team, but also a real sense of purpose when it came to racing. There were some fantastic results but the biggest success was seeing so many Norwich paddlers getting out there, racing hard and taking on the challenge.

Thanks to the Paddle UK Sprint Committee for all their hard work this season putting together these events. See you in 2027!

We aren't all just about celebrating kayaking achievement. Leah Fowler successfully completed the Rat Race 100 C2C from Edinburgh to Glamis, covering 100 miles of challenging Scottish terrain in an impressive 30 hours 22 minutes.

The race tested every aspect of endurance, with long climbs, technical trails and the inevitable highs and lows that come with an event of this magnitude. Leah paced herself well throughout, overcoming the toughest sections and showing real determination right to the finish.

Crossing the line after more than 30 hours on the move is a testament to her resilience, preparation and mental strength. Completing one of the UK's toughest endurance challenges is something to be immensely proud of.

Congratulations, Leah – an outstanding performance and an inspiration 💪
