It's good to be back!!

What a way to kick off this season’s campaign! 💪🏉🔥\

With some key players missing, a few people playing out of position and everyone having to dig deep, the team spirit was unreal. Everyone grafted, backed each other up and kept going right until the final whistle. That’s exactly the kind of attitude we want to take into the season! 🙌

🌟 Players’ Player of the Match – Stone
What a debut! You made your presence felt straight away and put in an absolute cracking performance. What a way to introduce yourself to the team! 👏🔥

🌟 Coaches’ Player of the Match – Catherine Webb
First game back since injury in March and straight back into the action! After a tiny disagreement with where the white line was 🤣, you picked yourself up, dug in and topped it all off with a brilliant try. 🙌

🌟 Opposition Player of the Match – Justyna Kruszewska
A force to be reckoned with as always! Causing problems all over the pitch and getting yourself a hattrick. What a shift! 💪🏉

A massive well done to the whole squad. The result didn’t go our way, but the effort, work rate and team spirit were there in bucket loads.

Bring on next Sunday! 💙💪

🏉 Market Bosworth Lionesses vs Old Northamptonians 🏉

A fantastic women’s rugby friendly for the Market Bosworth Lionesses, taking on Old Northamptonians on the 4G pitch at Leicester Forest East.

It was a fantastic result for the Lionesses who were low on numbers against a 30-strong squad from ON's.

A huge congratulations to our newbies making their debut appearances for the Lionesses — Hayley and Frankie! 👏🦁

And a special mention to our new U18 signed-up player, Izzy, who put in a brilliant performance. 💪

🏆 Match Awards

⭐ Forward of the Match: Fletch
⭐ Back of the Match: Izzy
⭐ Opposition Player of the Match: Trenchie

A massive thank you to Old Northamptonians for a great match, played in fantastic spirit, and for coming back to our club afterwards to enjoy some food and drinks with us. 🥘🥤

A brilliant day of women’s rugby, welcoming new players into the team and enjoying everything that makes the rugby community so special. ❤️🏉

We look forward to the return fixture after in the season.
