We understand that we're not trained mental health professionals, but we do know that sometimes the hardest part is reaching out.

Research has shown that simply having someone to talk to can make a huge difference, and providing an easy way to start that conversation can help break down one of the biggest barriers people face when they're struggling.

That's why we're getting behind the sealandseahawks movement.

There are no more questions now, the Vanguard are in the playoffs and 1️⃣ win secures home field advantage for our game on the 3rd of August.

It’s a long list of difference makers from yesterday’s game against the Wyverns:

Offensive MVP, QB #11 Matt Sayer, two rushing touchdowns, one was almost the length of the pitch, what more needs to be said.

- Honourable mention to WR #17 Saif Chowdhury for a 40+ yard catch down the sideline.

Special Teams MVP, OLB / Gunner #26 Andrew Jones. Chasing down punts from the gunner position really pinned the Wyverns Offence deep in their own half on multiple occasions.

Defensive MVPs; DL #55 Tom Maddox and FS #45 James Martin. Both coaching and playing to an excellent standard, making big plays and keeping their guys on track.

Honourable mentions to two more;
- OLB #46 Aaron Evis for turning up on Defence but also for recovering a fumbled snap on a Wyverns punt for a short touchdown.
- MLB #1 Joby Wolfenden-Brown (sponsored by absolutehealthfitness1) for a 89 yard pick six and flying around against the Wyverns run game.

Cementing our place at the top of the division we next travel to Swindon on the 19th of July.

This Sunday we host the Somerset Wyverns for Homecoming. If the Vanguard win then we secure home field advantage for the playoffs.

We will be welcoming Plymouth Admirals alumni to the game and their QB Glen Harling will be conducting the coin toss.

Kick off is at 2pm, free entry, with food and drink available from the bar.

Vanguard win 20-6 with the game being conceded by the Monarchs early in the 3rd Quarter due to a high number of injuries.

We wish the best to those who took a knock from the travelling Cornwall team and good luck for the rest of the season.

Next week we host the Somerset Wyverns for our 2026 Homecoming game.

DMVP, OLB #46 Aaron Evis, had a breakout performance with dominant tackling and showed speed and guile to harrass a veteran Cornish QB.

OMVP, QB #12 Alex Santos, two deep passing touchdowns of 50+ yards and controlling the Offence, big things considering it’s his first start.

STMVP, Mr Reliable P #5 Ryan Edgecombe. There is nothing to be said that hasn’t already been mentioned on this forum, pinning the Monarchs Offence deep in their own half on multiple occasions.

Today is GAMEDAY.

Not only gameday, but it’s the Pasty Bowl, too.
