🔥 U16 GIRLS- CUP GAME 🔥

Our U16 girls played their first cup game today and were a formidable force. Unfortunately the game had to be abandoned due to a serious injury, resulting in not having enough players to continue, however due to time played the score still stood and we secured a fantastic 19–7 win against a combined side of Devonport Services, Tavistock, Exeter Saracens, Plymstock Oaks and Brixham! 👏💪

It was brilliant to see our girls jelling together as a unit, finding their feet and truly owning the pitch! The teamwork, determination and confidence on display were amazing to watch.

We had three fantastic tries today from Harriet, Bella and Ruby C, with Bella converting two of them! 🏉🥳

Every single player on that pitch was absolutely phenomenal and showed the true spirit of the game. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves! ❤️

🔥 U14 GIRLS- BRILLIANT EFFORT! 🔥

In what was supposed to be a cup game but which was conceided due to lack of players.

Lilly and Winnie, you both did absolutely brilliantly today! 🌟 It was lovely to see you both having such a blast out on the pitch.

Great work in the scrum and some cracking tries too! 🙌 It's absolutely amazing to watch you both grow in confidence and develop your rugby skills. Keep up the fantastic work, girls!
And it showed today with a cracking win against Plymstock Oaks.

And there's even more to be excited about… 🎉 We're delighted to have Joe on board as your coach! Hopefully, he'll be able to join us for training sessions and matches soon. We can't wait to see what the future holds!

❤️🩵 Two teams, plenty of heart, fantastic rugby and so much to be proud of!
Well done to all our girls, coaches and supporters. Thank you for being part of it and bringing such fantastic energy to the game!
Keep smiling, keep working hard and, most importantly, keep enjoying your rugby! 🏉❤️🩵

🏆 VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH 🏆

Our very first Volunteer of the Month award was a massive success! 👏

This award is our way of saying a huge thank you to the amazing group of volunteers who give so much to our club. Without their time, effort and dedication, our club simply wouldn’t be the fantastic place it is today.

Our first-ever award goes to one of our U15 parents, who has become our very own personal electrician! ⚡🔧

Steve is always ready at the drop of a hat to get down to the club and fix whatever needs fixing. Whether it’s a tripped fuse, a problem with the floodlights, or something else that needs attention, rain or shine, Steve is there!

So, a massive CONGRATULATIONS to Steve Power! 🎉👏

Thank you so much for all your hard work, time and dedication. It certainly doesn’t go unnoticed, and we really do appreciate everything you do for the club.

Well deserved, Steve! 💙🏉 👏

🏉 What a cracking display of rugby from all our age groups today! 💪

💙 U12s
The U12s headed to Kingsbridge RFC for a cluster event. After a tough start, the girls finished strongly in their game against Salcombe. A brilliant effort from everyone — well done, girls! 👏

💙 U14s
Our U14s played their first games of the season at a cluster event in Okehampton Rugby Club . The reports coming back were fantastic, with a fair few tries bagged by our girls! 🙌 What a great way to start the season.

💙 U16s
This week the U16s faced a strong Cullompton Rugby Club / Tiverton side. The win wasn’t to be this time, with our girls trailing 47–5 at half time. But they showed fantastic character to fight back in the second half, scoring two excellent tries, both of which were converted. 👏

A massive well done to Cullompton on the win, and a huge congratulations to all our girls for their effort, determination and team spirit. 💙🏉

Proud of every single one of you! 💪👏

Another weekend means another Sunday of rugby for our girls’ section! 🏉💙

Our U12s are heading to a cluster at Kingsbridge RFC, where they’ll be looking to build on the extraordinary performance they put in last week. 👏

This week, our U14s have their first run-out of the season at a cluster event Okehampton Rugby Club . They’ve been working hard throughout pre-season and the first few sessions of the season, and they’re ready to make a big impact on the pitch! 💪

And finally, our U16s are hosting Cullompton Rugby Club at KGV, looking to continue the winning streak they started last week. 🔥

If you’re at a loose end on Sunday afternoon and can make it along to any of these games, I’m sure the girls would really appreciate your support! 🙌

Come along, make some noise and support our girls! 💙🏉

🎉 Match report U16s 🎉

Brixham/Tavi/Devonport Services - 31

--------‐-----------

What an absolutely amazing game today!
It was typical rugby conditions, from the first whistle however the girls played phenomenally 💪

The mindset of the girls was completely different — they didn’t give up and played brilliantly. We tried some new things today which worked great particularly the forwards with their lineouts! 🎉🏉

We had tries today from

Steph x 1
Maddie x 1
Harriet x 4
Ruby C x 1
Erin G x 3 (Oaks)

Conversions from
Bella x 3
Steph x 1

It is incredible to see how much they’ve progressed over these last few years and if today is anything to go by we will be a formidable force this season. 😃🏉

Well done girls for all of your effort today, absolutely fantastic!!
🏉

🎉Match Report for U12s🎉

A brilliant 4 game Cluster against some big name clubs including Ivybridge, Newton Abbott, Tavistock and Salcombe.

We clustered with Kingsbridge throughout who were great and to say I’m proud is an understatement. With very little rugby experience in the group, they gave their all for each game, tackled, ran and passed superbly and most importantly loved every minute of it.

We had a really close game against Salcombe and they were unbelievable throughout.
