☀️ Pre-season returns tomorrow! 🏉

Please note that training will start slightly earlier this week at 1730.

With the warm weather set to continue, we've adapted the session to keep everyone cool and make the most of the sunshine.

Don't forget to bring your water pistols and water balloons – it's going to be a fun way to kick off pre-season! 💦 🔫🎈

Our U12s, U14s and U16s are all looking forward to getting back together after a well-earned break.

If you've been thinking about giving rugby a try, we'd love to welcome you. New players are always welcome, with girls' training taking place every Wednesday at 1800 at KGV Playing Fields.

No experience needed, just come along and give it a go!

A huge thank you to EP Compliance for delivering another fantastic First Aid course at OPM Rugby Club

Several of our coaches from across the different sections took part in the training, gaining valuable knowledge and practical skills to confidently respond to incidents and administer prompt first aid pitch-side when needed.

The safety and wellbeing of our players is always a top priority, and ensuring our coaches are trained and prepared is an important part of that commitment.

Volunteer Of The Year Awards 25/26 - Unsung Hero Nomination 🏉🏆

Paul, Jas & Tim all went to Exeter Athletic Rugby Club this afternoon to receive their certifcates and gifts for being nominated in the Volunteer Of The Year Awards 25/26!

Their hard work behind the scenes was recognised and celebrated whilst they enjoyed an afternoon with other nominees from different clubs across the whole of Devon. 🏉

Well done to all those who also went this afternoon and a big thank you to all those volunteers who help keep grassroots rugby going! 🏅

🏉 What a way to finish the season! 🏉

Our U14 girls put on an incredible performance yesterday, a brilliant game from start to finish, showing true rugby spirit, determination, and teamwork. A fantastic match to watch and a proud moment for everyone involved! 💙

A huge thank you to Nelson RFC Nelson Belles for a great game. We’d love to return the favour with a tour next season, and we wish you all the very best for the rest of your tour!

OPM RFC Girls U14's are taking on a touring side all the way from Wales Nelson RFC! Nelson Belles 🏉

Expect fast-paced action, big tackles, and some brilliant rugby on display as our girls go head-to-head with strong opposition.

🎉 U14s Girls Devon Festival Match Report🎉

The U14s Girls Festival at Newton Abbot Rugby Club delivered a brilliant day of rugby, teamwork, and determination under what turned out to be a tough, hot sun.

With players coming together from OPM RFC Girls, Devonport Services RFC, and Plymstock Oaks RFC, the newly formed “Devon O’s” squad had never played together before. Despite that, the girls quickly gelled into a cohesive unit, showing great communication, support play, and teamwork throughout the day.

Across all fixtures, the squad competed strongly and improved with each game, ultimately finishing just short of mid-table which is a fantastic achievement considering the team was formed on the day.
Their effort, resilience, and positive attitude were clear to see, with every player contributing to a strong collective performance.

The conditions made for a challenging day, but the girls handled it brilliantly, continuing to work hard for one another and play with great spirit from start to finish.

🌟 Player of the Tournament: Lilly
A special mention goes to Lilly, who was outstanding in her first ever game of rugby. She tackled confidently, ran strong, direct lines, and capped off her debut with a well-earned try. A brilliant performance and a very well-deserved recognition — well done, Lilly!

👏 A huge well done to all the girls for their effort, teamwork, and attitude. A great day for girls’ rugby and a promising display for the future!

We’re all set for festival day tomorrow at Newton Abbot Rugby Club and it’s looking like a fantastic day ahead!

OPM RFC Girls are merging with Devonport Services RFC & Plymstock Oaks RFC to become "Devon O's" for the day! 🏉🎉

🚗 Parking:
Please leave the main club car park free for coaches, as they’ll need space for equipment. There will be parking nearby, with stewards available to help guide you.

⏰ Matches:
Kick-off is at 10:00am sharp.

🏆 With up to 10 matches and three different trophies up for grabs, it’s shaping up to be an exciting day for everyone involved!
