A weekend full of quality team bonding, questionable decisions, belly laughs, and memories we'll never forget... even if there are a few bits we're trying very hard to! 😂

Here's a handful of the safe photos we're allowed to post. The rest? They'll remain under strict lock and key in the group chat, protected for the sake of careers, relationships, reputations... and possible future blackmail. 🤐

We laughed until our stomachs hurt, our faces ached, and we couldnt breathe anymore!

Now we swap cocktails for footballs because we've got a pre season friendly on Sunday. Whether we're fully recovered is another story, but we'll be there... ⚽😂

Our ladies celebrated the season in style Friday night and what an evening it turned out to be!

A massive thank you to our Sarah, who managed to bag us such an incredible venue through her work at Production Park. What a place! The venue was amazing, the food was incredible, and the staff couldn't have done more for us. 👏

Of course, no celebration would be complete without things getting just a little messy... 🤭 From spectacular karaoke performances to non stop laughter, it's safe to say we are still aching from the laughs! 🎤😂

Big congrats also goes to Sarah, who has been voted in as Captain for a second season running! 👏💙 A well deserved recognition from the team. And congratulations to Nic, who has been voted Vice Captain.

There were plenty of thank yous to everyone who helps keep this team going, both on and off the pitch. We couldn't do it without you all. 💙

We're pretty sure this is a night we'll be talking about for a long, long time... especially with a few two day hangovers making an appearance at today's friendly! 🫣😂

Apologies for the late post weve been consumed by a pretty important tournment going on 🤦‍♀️

The ladies started their pre season friendlies on sunday and walked away with a 7-3 win 🏆

It was a little on the warm side but the ladies battled through and worked as a team 🥳

Pre season will see the ladies test new postions ready to battle in Divison 4 of the SHWGL. 🙌

Up next they face West end terriers ⚽️

🏆 Rossington Annual Tournament! 🏆

Yesterday our Frickley Ladies 2nds headed to the Rossington where we came up against some familiar faces from the 25/26 season. It was great to share the pitch with teams we've enjoyed playing against throughout the year. ⚽💙

It wasn't the easiest of group stages, and goals were hard to come by, but the ladies kept going with high spirits and somehow found themselves in the final against Sheffield Medics. After a 1-1 draw, Frickley came away with the trophy on penalties! 🏆🙌

A brilliant day all round. Sunshine, football with friends, plenty of laughs, and, of course, rounding it all off with a well-earned trip to the pub together. ☀️⚽🍻

If Carlsberg did Saturdays... this would be one of them! 💙🤍

⚽ Football is about so much more than results.

Today, at the same tournament, we had our U7 Girls and Frickley Ladies 2nd XI representing the club side by side. The U7s finished in an impressive 2nd place 🥈, while the Ladies secured 3rd place 🥉 in their competition.

But today wasn't really about where teams finished.

It was incredibly special for a mother and daughter (and auntie) to wear the same badge and represent the same club. One at the very beginning of her football journey, the other continuing hers. To be part of the same tournament, playing for the same club and sharing the same love of the game is something neither of them will ever forget. 💙

It was also a reminder of how important it is to have players of all ages involved in the game. Our younger girls are the future of Frickley, and it is a privilege for us as Ladies players to play alongside them and watch them develop. We hope that by pulling on the Frickley shirt, we can help inspire them to keep enjoying their football and dreaming big ✨

The support between both teams throughout the day was fantastic 🙌. The Ladies were cheering on the girls and celebrating their successes, while the girls didn't stop with chants and support whenever they could 🎶👏.

Days like today show what grassroots football is really about. Not just football, but family, community, role models and creating opportunities for the next generation 🤠

Well done to every player who represented today. You did us all proud 🫶

And what an amazing season we’ve had 👀

From the very start to the very end, we’ve been more than just a team, we’ve been friends, a proper family. Through every training session, every match, and every laugh, we have made friends for life.

To have our captain and vice captain with us at the beginning and still leading us at the end says everything about the commitment and heart in this group 💪

It’s not just been about football either… it’s been the gatherings after games at the pub, the laughs, the bonding, and the memories we’ve made off the pitch that mean just as much.

We’ve had our challenges, losing players to injuries has been tough, and seeing some of our teammates move on hasn’t been easy. But even then, the support has never dropped. Injured or not, everyone has still been there, backing the team all the way. That says everything about who we are.

It hasn’t always been smooth, plenty of ups and downs, but we stuck together, kept going, and achieved what we set out to do… finishing 3rd. And what a massive improvement that is from last season!
