The opening day of the City Of Sheffield Swim Squad Team Steel competition is ticked off ✅

Strong first day with plenty of process goals achieved, PBs, medals and learning to take forward into the summer!

Swim of the day goes to Charlie Craig who swam a brilliant 200 FLY. Well paced and an awesome 7 second PB 💪

Hopefully tomorrow the girls can all look at the camera at the same time 😂

Great opportunity for some fine tuning for the selected performance swimmers to prepare for nationals that are just around the corner.

We have a National Biathle medalist in the club..!

Ayla completed a continuous run, swim before finishing with another run to claim second place at the competition.

Through this Ayla has now qualified to compete for GB in the World Championships in Madeira!

A fantastic achievement well done Ayla!

Well done to Harrison on completing the Mighty Hike for Macmillan Cancer Support!!!

He and his dad completed the half marathon in 4 hours and 25 minutes!

Well done to Lucy for completing a swim camp last Sunday in Huddersfield!

It was the second face to face camp for the National Age Group Development Programme managed by Swim England talent!

A well deserved opportunity for Lucy as it focused on the transition of promising athletes into elite level performers!

Great to see so many of our young Aquatic helpers volunteering to help out at Diddy time trials yesterday.

Lots of opportunity to learn new skills and to support our younger swimmers, some of whom it was their first experience of racing. Thank you to you all!

One of our very own has set off on another fundraising venture!

C3 swimmer Harrison, has his walking boots packed as he is going hiking through the Lake District in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support!

A fantastic weekend of racing in London concluded yesterday with both Gabi and Seren both improving on their heat swims.

Plenty of experience gained alongside top international athletes at the AP Race International meet.

Along with the positives there are good learning curves that can be taken as we approach the hectic nationals period.

A huge thank you to Danny from Tadcaster York Sport Swim Squad, Jack from City Of Sheffield Swim Squad and Martin from Newcastle Swim Team for all their help on poolside with the swimmers. Also a special mention to our TMs Jeremy and Mel across the weekend.

Onwards and upwards…!

A tough final day of racing sees Morpeth swimmers qualify for two finals at the AP Race International!

In such competitive fields it’s been an outstanding effort from everyone involved.

Gabi swam a seasons best in her 200 back to reach the B final whilst Seren will join her back in action but in the 100 fly Junior final this evening!
