We’re excited to announce the return of the minis and juniors rugby season at Mosborough RUFC! After a long break, we’re eager to get back on the field and welcome all our young players, both old and new.

All teams from U6 to U16 will be resuming training, getting ready for an action-packed season ahead.

The lads will be travelling down to Derby for the fixture and look to bring home the win.

Well done to our Jake Rotherham who played one his best performances in yesterdays Cup match against Otley RUFC/Baildon RUFC.

The lads showcased a great display of skill and managed to secure a 15-35 win.

Thanks to Baildon RUFC for hosting and good luck for the rest of the season.

Tonight’s defence drill!

MAPPING!

This drill for the lads will allow them to stay in a structured defensive line and move to where the ball is moving to.

Key focus: keep the defensive structure at all times and don’t get sucked in.

See you tonight at the new pitches at Westfield.

Tomorrow’s attack and defence drill boys.

Please share with the lads before practice tomorrow.

Defence key take away:
Focus on the attacking player and their movement.

Target is to keep them moving towards the touch line as this acts as an extra defence.

Attack key take away:
Stay light on your feet and hit the wider part of the gate to stay on the outside shoulder of the defender.

Add on: once the defender approaches, use a hand off to keep them further away from you.
