Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre is South Yorkshire’s largest community owned and operated sporting facility, providing a range of activities and facilities to the Upper Don Valley area. The centre has recently undergone a huge refurbishment carried out entirely by local volunteers and trades people, supported by donations from local businesses, individuals and both Sheffield City Council and Stocksbridge Town Council. We have the largest indoor Bowling Green for 30 miles providing superb facilities for bowlers. We also have a fantastic Sports Hall, a fully equipped Gym and three squash/racquetball courts. We also have a new meeting room, which can accommodate up to 15 people for business meetings.

🐣 Get ready for some October Half Term Fun with our Ultimate Activity Camp!

⛺ Camps are on Monday 26th October, Tuesday 27th October and Thursday 29th October, 10.00 am - 3.00 pm.

💥 Activities include ⚽⛹️ games, ✏️✂️ crafts and 🏊 a swim session!

👀 Please see details of our weekly drop in service, here at Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre.

🗓️ It's every Tuesday, with services to support and advise you with your health and wellbeing concerns, AND, every First Tuesday of the month, the drop in includes a wide range of extra services including Sheffield Housing, employment support, health and mental health support.

🕤 There is no need to book, just turn up between 9:30 and 11:30am.

MEET THIS MONTH'S VOLUNTEER, HAYLEY! 🤩

I first came to volunteer at Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre in March 2024, after initially attending one of the Fundraising Events.

I have friends who work and volunteer here and they suggested to me about possibly volunteering here with the craft activities, as I primarily worked with children and they were always looking for assistance.

I now assist at the Fundraising Events, helping the children with the Craft Activities in the Meeting Room, it's lovely to see the children getting so much enjoyment from colouring and gluing their beautiful creations and having so much fun!

I feel that it's important to volunteer and do my bit for the community and I thoroughly enjoy volunteering at SCLC, as all staff and volunteers are so friendly.

Why not come along and join the team!
