👏 Everyone deserves to be strong 👏
The longer I’ve coached, the more people I’ve worked with and helped, the more I’ve realised that it’s what you can DO that dictates how happy you are.
Sure, you can get super lean and have visible abs but it’s not worth its weight when you feel crap, when you feel weak and when day to day is just a struggle!
And this lovely lady is a perfect example of buying into the right process 🙌
Lift heavy, sweat lots and eat well.
Maxine has been training with me for a while and she is just absolutely flying 🔥
She’s grown a ton of muscle, is stronger than ever and still smashes the sweat classes week in week out.
It’s not easy changing your views on food and fuelling but when you get to feel the strength and confidence in your body that training well and eating properly brings, it’s so worth it!
Well done Max, you are looking absolutely insane 🔥

That tastes like 5L of wine for €13 🙃
Also went out about 3 hours too late and it’s hilly 🫠
Job done.

All before the wife and kids were out of bed 🙌
Rest of the day looks like…

The go-faster tache is back 🥸
More streamlined ennit 😝
Last run pre-holiday and in temperatures less than ~40° for the foreseeable!
First properly adhered to run on the first week of this 12 week block toward the Yorkshire Marathon!
Feeling good in Week 1 😅
Also, not sure I’ve quite got the running video aesthetic down just yet but, seriously, how long are people’s arms to film themselves running 🙃
Have a great day y’all ✌️

Beautiful morning, gross intervals 🫠😂
Ran with the lovely and currently uninjured 👀 Hannah Taylor this AM!
It is SO much easier to share the pain with someone else and makes it that much more enjoyable!
Plus, these kind of mornings are 👌
Ticking boxes ✅

Always focus on making every lift as high a quality as you can, whether it’s your biggest or your smallest.
Good habits, behaviours, patterns are found in approaching each occasion with focus and routine.
This applies to deadlifts, lifting in general, fitness and pretty much everything else!
I always think that discipline in training and fitness translates so well to normal life and I’ve watched people change their whole lives by just starting to get fit!
180-170-140-100 in the videos.
Same approach. Same care and attention. Same outcome.
Ps. Should’ve lowered the camera 😅😂🫠

Marathon prep starts again 🔥
Yorkshire Marathon in 12 weeks 🙌
Having a little play around today with some pacing and also just trying to stay in the shade where possible on the trails 😅
Obvs it was supposed to be a 10km easy run but after not shooting for a 10km PB over the weekend, felt like the legs needed to be put through a little bit of work! 👀
It’s been great fun doing some shorter stuff over the last 9 weeks since running Edinburgh marathon and hitting some nice new PB’s but… marathon time is upon us again.
12 weeks and counting 💪

PFC Sweat classes do exactly what they say on the tin!
Some absolute grossness but gets a cardio session ticked off with some lovely Perform First members 🔥
This little number based on exercises in the Deadly Dozen fitness race to help some of our members training for that event.
If you fancy having a go and seeing what the ‘fun’ is like, drop me a DM!

1 year difference
365 Days Around The Sun
Last day before I’m 34 years completed 🥲
I think this last year has been the MOST different year of training I’ve had, probably since my early twenties.
Lots more ‘feel-good’ rather than ‘look-good’ style training ♥️
I’m by far the fittest and fastest I’ve ever been with cardio, particularly running, and whilst the top end of strength is definitely not where it has been in the past, I feel SO much better for it, focusing on movement quality and functionality 💪
A sensible old head now dictates that feeling good rather than chasing looking good is by far the more important of the two! 🙌
Going into my 35th year to be faster, fitter and happier still 🫡
