Absolutely BUZZING today! 😝
I’ve just completed a clean sweep for me in terms of running…
5km, 10km, Half-Marathon & Marathon PB’s all set over the last 4 weeks 🔥
5km - 22:38 ➡️ 20:37
10km - 49:30 ➡️ 44:25
Half-Marathon - 1:52:52 ➡️ 1:42:54
Marathon - 4:33 ➡️ 3:57:57
Now, I’m not superstar or even insta fast BUT…
I am better than I was!
That’s what it’s all about it.
Me vs. Me.
Currently, I’m on top!
More hard work ahead 🔥

The focus should always be on what you CAN do!
What weights CAN you lift? How fast CAN you run 5km? What insane (Super7) challenges CAN you complete? 👀
Whilst it is absolutely ok and normal to think about how you look…
The whole process and journey that you’re on is 10000000% more enjoyable when you focus on what you CAN do.
That’s exactly where Kirsty fits 🔥
Absolutely fixated on feeling as fit as she ever has, stronger than she ever has, and ultimately being in the best possible shape when so many others of a similar age are very much declining 👀
And it doesn’t have to be like that.
Kirsty has repeatedly smashed every single target we’ve thrown at her.
Whether it be Hyrox, Powerlifting Days, Runs, disgusting fitness races, she has absolutely crushed it, and it’s all built on some very basic and very important principles…

And what a good idea it was too!
I’m staying away from longer stuff for a good 8-10 weeks post-marathon!
It’s (potentially) too hot, too long and I just wanna go faster and not spend 2-4 hours on my runs for a bit 😅
So, a fresh baseline 10km was needed and have managed to knock over FIVE minutes off my best recorded 10km 🙌
Now it’s time to lock in over the next couple of months and see if we can creep that 10km closer to 40 mins and maybe even a sub-20 5km (currently 37 seconds off) for this little hobbit!

“I’ll ride my bike when you run, but not a marathon” 😂
Literally had the most heart-warming moment this morning talking to my little lady!
She knows that the marathon is no joke 😤😂
The fact she even knows what it is and that it’s difficult to achieve is just mind-boggling.
But, to be putting these thoughts and considerations into her beautiful, little brain is just another reason to keep doing hard things and showing her what’s possible if she’s willing to work hard.
There is nothing I want more than to give my little ladies the oomph to push themselves, accomplish amazing things and FEEL freaking amazing whilst doing it!
So many people, and especially girls, who are closer to my age are told to be less, that they can’t do things, that it’s too much or too hard ❌
That is NEVER happening with my girls.
They will do ANYTHING.
They’ll be pushing their limits and the first part of that really can come from seeing it at home I believe.
It’s a completely achievable little hack for ANY parent.
I’m absolutely bang average, particularly in the insta sphere of fitness, in terms of speed, physique etc but one thing that you can always show…
Hard work and commitment!
To work. To health. To life.
Just wanna make these girls proud ♥️

Ahh the post-achievement slump 😅😭
It’s so easy to feel flat after doing something or achieving something you’ve worked so hard for 🫠
Whether it be a marathon, hitting a weight goal or any of those ‘big’ moments in fitness, you can still just be left a bit meh…
And that’s why it’s SO SO important to enjoy the journey along the way.
I’m very proud of the run on Sunday but more than anything I just wanna be back training and feeling 100% again.
That day-in day-out grind is what I’ve loved over the last few months, both when it’s been smooth and when it’s been more of a challenge!
So, as much as you think that the big goal is the be all and end all, it’s actually enjoying the process that makes it all worth it 🙌
For now, sensible hat on whilst the various ailments heal following the weekend antics and a gentle return to doing what we love best!

Very much a bittersweet one to say goodbye (in terms of coaching only, beers and training still on 🫡) to someone who has worked so hard and so well and has achieved so much! 🥲
But who also now has a life that looks incredibly different because they have the tools, the knowledge, and the newfound interests 👀🏃♀️ to keep them moving, feeling confident and progressing in whichever direction they choose.
What an INSANE 18 months it’s been working with ! 🔥
She stepped into the gym in January 2025, wanting to learn about training, nutrition and how to get herself in the best possible shape!
Both in terms of her overall health and confidence in how she looks.
And we’ve done just about everything.
We’ve learned the basics, we’ve built a strong physique, we’ve bulked, we’ve cut to get super lean, we’ve competed in fitness events and most importantly, we’ve just given Hannah a platform to SHINE! ☀️
What we never imagined was how much she’d develop into an absolute athlete! 😂
Hannah is strong, she can run marathons, and… she even talks to real-life people (although not always if it can be helped 😜)
Heck, we can average around 3000 calories and still be in this incredible shape and do incredible things!
Honestly, so much more impressive than imaginable.
And this is all whilst completing her degree, keeping her own business thriving, and moving into her first home with a complete renovation being undertaken!
These are the kind of moments as a coach and certainly now a friend, where you’re just dead proud 🥲
Seeing Hannah run a marathon on Sunday, after she was adamant she would never run when we first met, was just the perfect crescendo to a fabulous working relationship.
And now, she can just buy the beers when I whoop her ass at all the fitness events, runs, and games that are to come ♥️

Edinburgh Marathon ✅
Before, After and all around.
A really tricky day with temperatures that were not very Scottish! 🥲😂
Untimely heatwave aside, I actually felt great today and was able to push pretty well until ~13:00 when it was freaking hot and mile 20 felt like a dagger through the heart 🫠
But… a 26 minute PB despite the conditions for me coming in at what was always the goal in sub-4 at 3:57:57
Now, time for beer, pizza and to let the body chillllllllll ♥️
Never again. Until I book another one. Then again.

But… ultimately, this is the excitement!
The thrill of doing something pretty cool, in a lovely place with even lovelier people.
Just ENJOY the things you are capable of doing and know that, whatever happens…
He’ll always be there, waiting patiently, never judging, never criticising, providing sweet, sweet relief…
