Tight muscles 😣
Tightness can start in one area of the body and travel to others if not attended to.
Tight hamstrings can lead to low back pain as can tight hip muscles.
Tight hips can lead to sciatica pain. You might think you have a spine issue but really you have a flexibility issue. Work on increasing your flexibility in your legs and hips.

There are some real health benefits for incorporating inversion work into your practice.
🩵 Rolling over the spine to invert helps to release tight fascia and helps to increase mobility of the spine.
🩵Inverting one’s body helps with circulation and can boost lymphatic drainage, creating a cleansing effect for the body.
🩵Changing your orientation in space changes how gravity acts on your stomach and this can assist with the movement of waste.
🩵Inversions promote the reduction of tension in the muscles by increasing circulation and moving lymph fluid.
Inversions are not for everyone. If you’ve had any injuries to your spine, you want to make sure to work with a Pilates instructor who can guide you safely.
There are many ways to incorporate even the smallest of inverted positions to reap the benefits.
