Great to see this reminder from Think Active CSW that cycling isn't just for Cycle to Work Day. 🚲

Whether it's your commute, the school run, popping to the shops, or simply getting out to enjoy some fresh air, every bike ride can help improve your health, wellbeing and the environment. 🌱

πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ

Last week was Cycle to Work Day and hopefully it inspired a few more people to give cycling a go πŸš΄πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

But you don’t need a special day to get back on your bike.

Cycling can be such a simple way to bring a little more movement, fresh air and enjoyment into your day. Whether it’s your daily commute, a trip to the shops, or just a ride around the local area, every journey counts.

And there are some great reasons to keep pedalling. πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ

πŸ’š Cycling regularly can support both physical and mental wellbeing. UK research has found that people who cycle to work have a 24% lower risk of cardiovascular disease mortality and a 16% lower risk of cancer mortality compared with those who commute by car.

🌍 It’s better for the environment, too, helping to reduce emissions, congestion and our reliance on cars.

But you don’t have to cycle every day or ride miles and miles to make a difference.

Start small. Try one journey this week. Take the bike when you would normally take the car. See how it feels.
