Blue Dragon Dojo, Southampton
Blue Dragon was founded in 2003 by Shihan Rob Rooney who began his martial arts training in 1993 at age 13. After gaining his first black belt in 2001, Rob started teaching martial arts from a number of local halls in Bitterne before finally being able to open his own dojo in 2018.
Rob’s gym - Blue Dragon Dojo is based in Southampton and is a small, private venue which hosts both individual and group lessons. We teach a variety of martial arts (see our timetable at www.bluedragondojo.com for a full overview) and cater to all ages and abilities. Our lesson sizes are kept small so that our students excel as quickly as possible and benefit from the close attention of the class instructor.
Our lessons are taught in a friendly and open atmosphere and we welcome all levels of ability and fitness. We understand that you're an individual - not just a student and so we will teach you a wealth of skills and techniques so that over time you will be able to develop and adapt your own unique approach.
