๐๐ DOUBLE MATCHDAY AT LONG LANE ๐๐
Yesโฆ you read that right. TWO games. ONE pitch. ZERO excuses not to be there ๐
First up, the Reserves host Cottage FC (10am KO) โฐ
After a draw last time out, the lads are back and fancying itโฆ and with the league doing its best โdisappearing actโ yesterday ๐ a win should be enough for promotion. No pressure then boysโฆ just the small matter of getting the job done ๐
๐
Then at 12pm, the Thirds roll in to face โฝ
Three wins on the bounce alreadyโฆ suddenly think theyโre prime Barca. Going for FOUR in a row โ steady lads, itโs a friendly ๐๐ฅ
So get yourself down to Long Lane for a full morning of Spartans footballโฆ or stay in bed and miss out, your call ๐คทโโ๏ธ

Spartans Reserves are BACK this weekend and itโs a big one at Long Lane ๐
We welcome high-flying , who are on a serious winning runโฆ but runs are made to be ended, right? ๐โฝ๏ธ
Meanwhile, the Thirds are on the road to Mayfield Park (which, letโs be honest, is already a win rather than 50 min drive to Blackfield....again๐คฃ) as they take on a much-improved Blackfield & Langley B side โ no easy game incoming!

FULL TIME โ 3rds back to winning ways ๐๐
3 points at home for the thirds as the high-flying M&T are put to the sword at Long Lane. โ๏ธ
A drab first half in some proper Sunday league conditions meant chances were few and far between, with both sides struggling to get anything going.
Second half thoughโฆ different story. Spartans finally broke the deadlock after a classic goalmouth scramble, with .jupp stabbing home through a crowd and somehow finding a way past the keeper. Chaos in the box, limbs everywhere, you love to see it.
Not long after, the lead was doubled with an absolute worldie from โฆ a thunderbolt that was definitely not helped into the net by the keeper. Weโll let the highlights (that donโt exist) decide that one. ๐
M&T grabbed a late consolation to make the final few minutes a bit squeaky, but the Spartans stood firm and saw it out to claim a big 3 points.

Sunday mornings done properly. โ๏ธโฝ๏ธ
After last weekโs less-than-ideal start (weโll call it a warm-up for the rest of the season), the Sarisbury Spartans Thirds are back at it today looking to put things right.
We welcome a strong M&T Sunday side to Long Lane, who are pushing for promotion โ so no easy task ahead. But the thirds will be looking to bounce back, show a bit of character, and make sure last weekโs disaster start stays firmly in the past.

๐๐ DOUBLE MATCHDAY FOR THE SPARTANS ๐๐
Two teams, two games, two chances to fly the flag this morning.
The Reserves head on the road looking to build on last weekโs win over Hamble. It doesnโt get much tougher though as we face the league leaders in a must win if we want to keep the season alive. Big game. Big test. Big breakfast needed.
๐ฅ 10:30 KO
๐ Mayfield Park
Meanwhile the Thirds finally return after what feels like the longest winter break known to Sunday League football. They travel to Pavilion Panthers Reserves looking to get back into the swing of things and finish the season strong.

๐๐ FULL TIME โ BACK WITH A BANG! ๐๐
After 96 days without a game, the Spartans returned to Mayfield Park and didnโt disappointโฆ
Sarisbury Spartans Reserves 3โ1 Hamble Club
A proper Sunday battle in the Yellow & Blue ๐๐ โ a scoreline that was actually tighter than the play suggested, with the lads controlling large spells of the game.
We took the lead through a worldie from ๐ โ the kind thatโs still rising now. Top bins, no keeper in the country saving that.
Hamble responded with a goal from a corner scramble โ bodies everywhere, pinball in the box, and it somehow found the net to make it 1-1.
But the response? Immediate.
Ryan Goodwin restored the lead with a calm finish after we turned the pressure up again. Big moment. Big goal. ๐ช
Then, in the dying seconds, George Kirk stepped up and buried a last-minute penalty to give the scoreline a bit more gloss than the game probably showed. Cool as you like. ๐ฅถ
Three points.
Unbeaten in 2026 ๐
And back where we belong.
Massive thanks to our sponsor@sirjosephpaxtonpub ๐ป โ celebrations (and analysis) pending.

โฝ๏ธ Matchday Is Finally Back! โฝ๏ธ
After 96 days (yesโฆ ninety-six ๐

๐ฅ Sarisbury Spartans Reserves v Hamble Club
๐ฅ 10:30am Kick-Off
๐ Mayfield Park
Pre-season felt shorter than this breakโฆ the boots have gathered dust, hamstrings are nervous, and a few of the boys are still blowing after tying their laces. But we go again ๐ช
Hamble Club, we hope youโve enjoyed the peace and quietโฆ because the Spartans are back and ready to remind everyone what Sunday mornings are all about.
Big shoutout to our sponsors@sirjosephpaxtonpub ๐ป โ where recovery (and excuses) will no doubt be discussed in detail afterwards.
Get down, get loud, and letโs start 2026 properly.
Back to it. ๐๐

๐จ MATCH REPORT: Reserves 2โ6 Bishopstoke ๐จ
Started like a bullet train, finished likeโฆ wellโฆ a shopping trolley with a wonky wheel. ๐
After a flying start, the lads decided they clearly hadnโt gifted enough penalties this season and kindly donated a couple to level things up at the break. ๐โฝ๏ธ
Goals from and had us dreaming, but the second half? Yeahโฆ it was basically one-way traffic. And it was all heading straight at our goal. ๐ง๐ฅ
Fair play to Bishopstokeโfully deserved the win and they leapfrog us in the league. Weโll regroup, reload, and remember which direction weโre meant to be running next week. ๐๐

The Reserves are officially the last team standing after this weekendโs weather tried to wipe out the entire fixture so..... we go again!
Weโre welcoming fellow high-flyers to Wide Lane for a bright and early 10am kick-off ๐
Time to park last weekโs disappointment and get back to winning ways in the league ๐ช๐๐

๐๐ FULL-TIME REPORT (BRACE YOURSELVES) ๐๐
A tough one for the Reserves, who exit the cup despite dominating from start to finish. Missed chances? We had a hat full. Possession? All ours. Vibes? Immaculate.
But football said โnahโ today โ the opposition pulled off the biggest smash-and-grab youโll see this year, nicking an equaliser in stoppage time against the run of play before the dreaded penalty lottery decided our fate ๐ฏ๐
As for the Thirdsโฆ wellโฆ they were never really in it and took a 5-0 one on the chin at Fleming Park. One of those days everyone will be pretending never happened by Tuesday ๐ฌ๐
We dust ourselves off. We regroup. We blame luck, the pitch, the ref, Mercury in retrograde โ whatever helps.
Massive thanks as always to our sponsors at the for keeping the spirits up (we may need a fewโฆ) ๐ป
On to the next. Spartans donโt stay down for long ๐๐โ๏ธ

๐๐ MATCHDAY FOR THE SPARTANS! ๐๐
The Reserves are back in action, taking on Titans at Wide Lane in a reversed fixture โ apparently their pitch has decided it wants to be a swamp this week ๐ง๏ธโฝ๏ธ
A spot in the 3rd Round is on the line as we face higher-league opposition again. Nothing we love more than punching upwards ๐ช๐๐
Meanwhile, the Thirds head to Fleming Park to take on . Last time it ended in a thrilling 0-0 (yes, thrilling), so fingers crossed the ball actually goes in the net today ๐ค๐
Massive shoutout to our legends at the for the sponsorship โ fueling Spartans since forever ๐ปโ๏ธ
Letโs get it, lads. Goals. Wins. Limbs. ๐๐
