Gang Warily Community & Recreation Centre is looking to recruit enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team. We currently have two exciting opportunities available, with the possibility of additional hours to support Centre activities and events.

Position 1: Receptionist
Hours: 11 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday and Friday evenings
Location: Gang Warily Community & Recreation Centre
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our customers, you will provide a friendly and professional reception service while supporting the day-to-day operation of the Centre.
Key Responsibilities
• Welcoming visitors and providing excellent customer service.
• Answering telephone and email enquiries.
• Taking bookings for facilities, activities, and events.
• Raising invoices and processing payments.
• Signing up gym members and maintaining membership records.
• Monitoring gym memberships, renewals, and cancellations.
• Administering equipment hire.
• General administration duties including filing and record keeping.
• Ensuring compliance with GDPR and maintaining confidentiality.
What We're Looking For
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good IT and administrative skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Position 2: Duty Manager (Saturdays)
Hours: 10-hour shift every Saturday
Location: Gang Warily Community & Recreation Centre
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and responsible individual to oversee the smooth running of the Centre on Saturdays, including parties, events, room hires, and other internal and external activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Opening, supervising, and securing the Centre as required.
• Ensuring the smooth delivery of parties, events, and bookings.
• Acting as the main point of contact during the shift.
• Supporting customers, hirers, and visitors.
• Carrying out safety and security checks.
• Coordinating room set-ups and equipment requirements.
• Assisting with moving tables, chairs, and equipment as required.
• Handling and resolving issues that arise during activities and events.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
What We're Looking For
• Strong organisational and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
• Confidence dealing with a variety of customers and situations.
• A flexible and practical approach.
• Ability to undertake some manual handling and occasional heavy lifting.
