A walking group, open to all that takes advantage of the scenery around Stirling University. Walks start at the MacRobert Centre at 10.30am every Saturday.
Our group started in 2009 as an collaboration between the University and Active Stirling. During that time our numbers have varied between 6 and 25 and we have managed to walk on over 48 weeks of the year. We also vary in age and level of fitness but this doesn't seem to make any difference because the most important thing we have in common is our enjoyment of walking. Our walks vary from fairly f

Saturday 1st August.
Starts at the MacRobert Arts Centre at 10:30 am.
Today's walk is Bridge of Allan Golf course and Mine woods. The walk has some lengthy uphill stretches and should last about 2 hours.The forecast is for light cloud and a gentle breeze with maybe a shower later on. Ian

A few photos from our walk round Abbey Craig. A bit of a damp start but the sun did eventually appear. Thanks to all who came along.

Today's walk is up to the Abbey Craig. This is the volcanic plug topped off with the Wallace Monument. The walk has some lengthy uphill stretches and should last about 2 hours. The forecast is for light rain. Showers and a gentle breeze, so wet gear is advised. Ian

Starts at the MacRobert Arts Centre at 10:30 am.
Today's walk is up to and round the Cocksburn Reservoir. This is a small man made loch in the hills to the north west of the campus. The walk has some lengthy uphill stretches and should last about 2 hours. The forecast is for sunny spells and light winds. It will be quite warm so bringing some water is a good idea. Ian

Today's walk is into Bridge of Allan and up Lovers' Loan. This is the path above the Bridge in the centre of town. The walk is fairly flat with a couple of short uphill stretches. The forecast is for light rain showers with light winds, so wet gear is advised. Ian
