👩‍🍳 Cooking sessions are taking place across the Potteries - and those taking part will get an air fryer. Potteries-based charity The Hubb Foundation is running free Hubb Pots Cook and Eat community cooking demonstrations at venues across Stoke-on-Trent.
Organisers are inviting families on a tight budget to come along, learn new skills and take away a free air fryer and recipe book. Led by celebrated local chef Harji Kaur of Indian Fusion, families will be coached through cooking healthy air fryer meals such as kebabs, vegetarian curry, pizzas and even stir fry, before eating the meal or taking it home.
🗣️Kevin Hawkins, Foundation Community Relationship Manager, said: "Since launching the Hubb Pots scheme in 2021 we have helped more than 2,000 families across Stoke-on-Trent learn new cooking and budgeting skills.
“Air fryers are a really economical way to cook and this is a fun hands-on session designed to help people who may struggle to make ends meet. It not only teaches families new skills but also ensures they can go home with the kit to carry on their healthy, budget-friendly cooking journey.”
🗓️ Sessions will take place at the following locations:
- Penkhull Village Hall from 10am at February 28;
- Bethel Church, Dresden, from 6pm on March 4;
- Marychurch Centre, Bucknall, at 6pm on March 11;
- Asha North Staffs Centre, Hanley, at 10am on March 14.
