The vibes, the views… 2026!
I fell in love with Soul Space the first year I attended the Big Retreat. The gentle heart of wellness at the festival, this area is nestled in the Pembrokeshire countryside, surrounded by greenery with views out to the estuary. It’s a sight for sore eyes and inspiration for the soul.
To return this year as a presenter and one of the Soul Space family has been a total joy.
It was a pleasure to guide people through calming, gentle movement and breathwork on Saturday; and through an uplifting Radiance Yoga Flow on Sunday.
Thanks to everyone that joined me in the Om Yoga tent as we moved, breathed and filled up on the collective energy of the festival, as well as the spirit of the place.
What a weekend! 💓 🏴 🧘♀️ ☀️

Vanessa has been busily stitching away creating a number of these very helpful props. Put one under your knee for support during poses like lunges, and pop it under your head to align the spine and for extra comfort in relaxation at the end of class.

💬 “Yogafinity is a way of life, and without it I don’t feel whole” ~ Mary 🥹
This year marks seven years of Yogafinity, so I called on nine ‘Originals’ to find out what keeps them coming back to class week after week, and year on year.
These yogis have been through the first year of my classes as a new teacher, through the pandemic when we kept going with Zoom sessions, then changing venues and awkward restrictions. When I began teaching I, like some of the yogis, had young children at primary school - now we have teenagers!
In yoga we practise Aparigraha (non-attachment), so I don’t assume that the people who come to class will stay. That being said, I count myself incredibly lucky to have a community that practises together regularly.

I should add, that although nine of the Originals featured here are ladies, we do have a good number of men that practise with us consistently, and several that have been coming to class for years.
Thank you to Ali, Caroline, Esther, Kate, Kathy, Lucy, Mary, Rachel and Sue for contributing to the blog 🫶

💙 No shade to the ladies, but this is a shout out to the boys of yoga!
In all the classes I teach (as well as events and retreats), I have men that practise with me consistently, week in and week out. Many of them have been coming for years.
🥋🏌️♂️🚴♂️ Most of these chaps have a sports background: martial arts, hockey, golf, mountain biking, hiking, weights…and they came to yoga initially to improve their flexibility so they can be even better at the main activities they love, and continue to move with more ease.
In the case of some my male 121 clients, years of football and racquet sports have caused joint issues (and hip replacements etc) and they are looking to regain and retain mobility.
I love the buoyant energy that these guys bring to class, as well as their focus and commitment. The long term practitioners have learned to breathe fully, move smoothly and embrace the stillness of the practice as well as the movement 🧘♂️
I was watching abit of the footie tonight on the tele with my husband and watched the team warming up: spotted the players doing Skandasana (side lunges), yogi squat, down dog and wide legged folds on the pitch…
Gents: yoga is a brilliant complement to your life: enabling you to move better, keeping you more youthful, helping you sleep better and manage stress. I love it when you come to class!
