Gors AFC 5-0 St Thomas Stars

A fantastic result for our First Team as they take all 3 points after dominant display against St Thomas Stars. The Gors started very quickly with 2 goals in the first 10 minutes by Ethan Winter, who then went on to complete his hatrick in the 25th minute! Noah Farr and Liam Huxtable also added their names to the goal sheet.

A clean sheet was the cherry on top of this performance!

Man of the Match: Ethan Winter⚽️⚽️⚽️

Full Time Result:

A tough result to accept for our first team after such a close game in the first half. Both sides finished the first 45 minutes strong with the score at 2-2 which included a brace from Liam Huxtable. However, it was Clydach Sports who pushed ahead with their performance in the second half to secure a spot in the next round.

We now turn our focus back to the league and wish Clydach Sports all the best in their cup run🏆

Ragged Reserves 1-0 Gors AFC Reserves:

A tough result to take for our reserve team today as Ragged walk away with a 1-0 win. A great game which could’ve gone either way but it was Ragged who walked away with the 3 points.

Gors defended exceptionally well against countless Ragged attacks, but at the 58th minute, the deadlock was broken which saw Ragged take the lead. Gors then went onto knocking on the door of Ragged, but fell short when the final whistle blew.

A great effort from all of the players, but full credit to Ragged.

We now prepare for our next league game against Cwmfelin Press Reserves on the 17th of October💪🏻

Rosehill FC 1-1 Gors AFC:

Our First team travelled the short distance to Paradise Park to face Rosehill FC in a local derby.

Rosehill started the quickest by taking the lead in the 24th minute.

Going into half time 1-0 down the Gors needed a big 2nd half.

Gors kept pressing and creating chances and eventually scored the equaliser in the 79th minute through Jordan Williams, assisted by Liam Huxtable.

First team:

After a convincing 7–2 victory last time out, the lads are back in action this Saturday as we visit Paradise Park to face Rosehill Community FC in Swansea Division 1. ⚽️

A great result last time out - now it’s about building on that performance and going again! 💪

*UPCOMING FIXTURE*

The reserves are back to it after a tough midweek game against Port Tennant Colts. The reserves finished the game victorious with a strong defensive performance to see out the 3-2 win.

The Reserves were back in action with the 2nd midweek game of the season, against Port Tennant Colts.

A quick start and some clever finishing from both Chris Gregory and Noah Farr, had the Gors 2-0 up after 6 minutes. Colts came back and managed to finally beat the keeper after a string of good saves.

After the break Andrew Toulcher put the boys 3-1 up, but colts once again pulled one back to make it 3-2.

All 14 players front to back put in hell of a shift to see out the game even after the sun had gone down.

A hard-fought win and a strong team performance in what proved to be a very close encounter.

MOTM: Noah Farr 👏🏼💙⚽️
