⚾ Our season may have ended a bit earlier than we'd have liked, but there is still baseball to enjoy.

First up we have four representatives at the South West and Wales Baseball League All Star Game tomorrow in Bristol. Jose Bobadilla and James Carter will be taking the diamond on behalf of the Muskets, while the Pistols will be represented by Dan Brown and Connor Colman.

⚾ Game day in the South West and Wales Baseball League.

The Pistols travel to take on the New Forest Thunder. In Taunton the Muskets host the Bristol Bats.

Both fixtures are double headers, with game one starting at midday. ⚾

⚾ A tough weekend on the diamond for the Pistols, but some standout performances to celebrate. Our trio of Tricky Cider MVP winners, Luke King, Holly Johnson and Vienna Warren, combined for seven runs and eight stolen bases across the two games. 🍎⚾

⚾⚾⚾BASEBALL + CRICKET🏏🏏🏏
We had a fantastic day today allowing children attending the cricket to give baseball a go.
We ran some pitching and hitting activities and it was great to see those transferrable skills being used brilliantly.
Many thanks to SCC for the invite.
It's not too late to join us for the end of the youth sessions which will be running until mid August at Taunton Green on Tuesdays at 5pm.

Come and say high and see if you can smash a home run into our net or take on the pitching challenge.

⚾ Swing by Taunton Green from midday to catch two games of baseball, as the Taunton Pistols host the Yeovil Whirlwinds. This will be your last chance to see the Pistols at home this season, so come down and give them some support.

⚾🦖 We are halfway through our twelve weeks of summer sessions. There is still plenty of time to sign up and start that baseball journey. For ages 4 to 14, all equipment provided and qualified coaches running all sessions.

⚾ Muskets and Pistols both share the spoils⚾

The Muskets travelled to Exeter to take on the Spitfires. A closely contested first game saw the host take the win 9-3, before a resurgent Muskets side took game two 14-2.

In Taunton the Pistols hosted the Bristol Brunels. The visitors took a resounding 20-4 win in game one, but the hosts threw a combined no-hitter in game two to win 11-3.

The Tricky Cider MVP awards went to James Carter and David Van Der Poll for the Muskets. Another impressive pitching performance from James saw him strike out 11 over 7 innings, while David continued his fine batting performances, adding another three double base hits.

For the Pistols Harry Cave and Connor Colman took home the coveted cider. Connor notches 3 runs and 4 stolen bases off three hits and Harry helped keep the no hitter intact over two innings of relief, striking out three batters in the process. ⚾
