👟 5k training is back!! 👟

⏳ Monday 20th July: the session will be a 5k time trial round Vivary Park to get your baseline time.

📆 Then we will do 6 weeks of training where our coach Sandra will post the sessions on our private members group every week and she will also do one of those sessions on Monday nights during our club coached session.

🏅 The following week (week 7 - 7th Sept), we will be back at Vivary to see if you have improved or you could enter the Yeovilton 5k on 9th Sept.

SUITABLE FOR ALL! There is no such thing as "too slow" as our club is totally inclusive.

Sign up for Monday night on the Run Together app. It is for RFRC members only so what are you waiting for? Join the club and join the fun! It's only £10/year membership to be part of our wonderful club!

RFRC delivered a day to remember at the Ham & Lyme Ultra, with over 30 club members tackling the 50k distance and two determined runners taking on the full 100k challenge. Spirits were high from the very start as the RFRC crew gathered at dawn, boarding a coach to Ham Hill with a mix of ultra first timers, seasoned ultra runners, and loyal Ham & Lyme regulars.

What truly united the club was the milestone moment for Membership Secretary Peter Hall who lined up for his 100th ultra marathon. In a touching gesture, Race Director—and RFRC member— Dave Urwin of Albion Running arranged for Peter to wear bib number 100, a detail that set the tone for a day full of pride and celebration.

The weather brought heat and hard hills, but runners pushed through, rewarded with sweeping seaside views and impeccably stocked aid stations. Support along the course was constant, with RFRC members and families offering cheers, snacks, blister plasters and the kind of encouragement that keeps tired legs moving.

As runners descended into Lyme Regis for the final stretch, roadside supporters erupted into bell‑ringing, clapping, and joyful shouting. The atmosphere reached its peak when Peter Hall appeared on the seafront—greeted by a roaring crowd and a personalised celebratory cake marking his extraordinary achievement.

It was a day of grit, camaraderie, and club pride. Running Forever once again proved that whether tackling a first Parkrun, 50k or 100k, the strength of the club lies in its community.
