Welcome to Running Forever Running Club. We are able to offer a range of benefits through our affiliation to England Athletics.

We aim to provide an inclusive, friendly, safe and supportive environment for all levels of adult runner in the Taunton area. Our main club night takes place at 6.30pm every Wednesday. Our groups run from different locations around Taunton, are structured according to distance and pace and need to be pre-booked. All groups run for approximately one hour. We are always pleased to welcome new people

on a Wednesday but we would ask that you can comfortably run at least 3 miles in an hour and join the club first. Our membership rates are kept deliberately low to try and be as inclusive as possible and you can join via our website. For complete beginners to running, we now have regular courses. The aim is to introduce the joys of running and to build confidence in a safe structured way. Our leaders at the beginners session all hold the England Athletics ‘Leadership in Running Fitness’ qualification and the goal is to progress runners to a level where they can move across and join in with our main club runs on a Wednesday. This session is ideal for those who have never run before or who feel they are unfit. As an added extra, we also have sessions on a Monday evening let by a qualified coach. There are also some longer organised runs at weekends, ideal for those training for half or full marathons. For those who prefer running off road, we have a trail run of about 6 miles every Tuesday evening and regular longer trail runs at weekends. Details of how to book a place on these will be provided after you join. RFRC is run by a small committee of enthusiastic members who give up their time voluntarily to ensure the club operates safely and effectively. The committee are voted in on an annual basis at our AGM (usually in April). All members are eligible to join the committee and we always welcome new ideas and suggestions. In addition, we organise two local events – The Humdinger and The Herepath. Both are growing in popularity and have earned their place on the local race calendar. Ensuring the success of these events requires a great deal of organisation and we rely heavily on our fantastic membership to volunteer to fill a number of roles including marshalling and timing etc. Welcome to RFRC – we hope you enjoy running with us!

What a weekend! The return of the Taunton Half on Sunday March 1st for its 40th edition saw a huge turnout from Running Forever, with over 100 runners signed up and plenty more club members volunteering to help on the day and cheering everyone on. It really was an amazing race - particularly the large crowd cheering on the finishing straight. There are far too many to mention individually, but congratulations to everyone who ran the race and thank you to those who volunteered and supported.
