Helping Children And Teens Navigate Their Emotions, Feelings And Thoughts to Lead a More Positive Life!

Hi I’m Louisa, I am motivated to make a difference to the lives of children and young people. I help navigate young peoples emotions and behaviours to lead a more positive life!

"Hopefully they'll settle in."

I hear this from parents every year.

Sometimes children do settle in naturally.

Sometimes anxiety grows, confidence drops, and worries about friendships or fitting in become much bigger than they need to be.

If your child is feeling nervous about starting secondary school, now is the perfect time to help them develop the tools and confidence they need before September arrives.

Using practical NLP techniques, I help children:

✔ Build confidence
✔ Manage anxiety
✔ Feel more comfortable making friends
✔ Approach new situations with greater resilience

Greater support and advice is being offered to professionals working with children and young people in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin who are experiencing the eating disorder ARFID.

ARFID stands for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder and is characterised by someone avoiding certain foods, for example due to their smell, taste or texture, and/or limiting how much they eat for reasons unrelated to body image or weight.

It affects people of all ages and can cause difficulties with nutrition for children and young people which impacts their physical health, mental wellbeing, and social lives.

Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) is working with local NHS organisations, GPs, schools and the voluntary and community sector to improve the support available to children and young people, alongside their families who are already experiencing ARFID, or at risk of doing so. This includes offering training to professionals, delivered in partnership with charity Beat Eating Disorders to enhance decision making and care planning with the aim of reducing the number of children and young people requiring an admission to hospital.

Project and Clinical Lead Vicky Pryce said: “For families and carers, ARFID can feel confusing and overwhelming. For children and young people experiencing this eating disorder, it may lead to nutritional deficiencies, impact physical growth and development, or cause anxiety and distress around mealtimes.

“We’re really pleased to offer greater support and advice to professionals who work with children and young people in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin to enable them to identify those needing support and seek to ensure more people receive the help they need to live healthy and happy lives. Together, through guidance and training we’re hoping to make a real difference to those struggling with this eating disorder.”

A fish will never discover its brilliance if it spends its life trying to climb a tree.

Many children grow up believing they are failing when, in reality, they are simply being measured in the wrong way.

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping children and teenagers recognise their strengths, build confidence, and realise they are capable of far more than they thought.

What makes your child uniquely brilliant? 💛

Starting secondary school isn’t just a new uniform and timetable. For many children, it brings nerves, self-doubt, and that quiet fear of not fitting in.

You might already be seeing it
👉Hesitation about September
👉Worry about making friends
👉Confidence dipping

Here’s the truth. Waiting and hoping they “grow out of it” rarely works. Confidence is something that can be built, not something they either have or don’t.

Using Neuro-Linguistic Programming, I help children learn how to manage anxious thoughts, feel more in control of their emotions, and walk into their new school feeling calmer and more увер confident in themselves.

This is not just talking. These are practical, proven techniques your child can actually use in real life.

✔ Build genuine confidence
✔ Reduce anxiety in a way they understand
✔ Help them feel comfortable forming new friendships

If your child is worrying about the transition, now is the time to step in before those patterns settle.

🤔Sometimes I hesitate to post feedback 😊 because I never want it to come across as “look what I did.” The truth is, Neuro Linguistic Programming works when a child or young person is willing to engage in the process themselves. No practitioner can force change, no matter how much a parent wants help for their child.

👉This particular client showed up every session ready to learn, reflect, practise, and do. That matters more than people realise.

Part of what I do is helping children and young people understand that I am not there to “fix” them or magically take difficult feelings away.🔮 Life will have challenges, worries, disappointments, friendship issues, school pressures, and self-doubt.

🤯What I aim to do is help them understand their mind, emotions, behaviours, and reactions, while giving them practical tools they can actually use in everyday life.🛠

That is also why I offer a 🆓 non-obligatory consultation first. It allows me to meet the child or young person one-to-one, understand the challenges they are facing, and most importantly, see whether they are open and ready to engage in the process.

⭐The relationship and trust built at the beginning are incredibly important.⭐

A small part of the feedback from a parent recently really stayed with me:

💬 “Your sessions have helped my daughter build resilience against that negative little voice in her head… hugely boosting her confidence and ability to see the bigger picture.”

🧐Reading feedback like this is genuinely humbling because behind every message is a child who has worked hard emotionally.

🫶Children and teenagers do not need to be “broken” to benefit from support. Sometimes they simply need a safe, independent space to process things differently, learn emotional tools, build confidence, and feel understood outside of home or school.
