To create change, we have to create a challenge
Like anything in life, we all have to start somewhere
Don't let your lack of confidence in the gym stop you from achieving results π

I've been training for around 10 years now & even i still get that overwhelming feeling if I go to a different gym!! Il sit in my car mentally preparing to go inside, I don't know where the equipment i need is, There's machines that are new to me, i.e.,
So what we're going to do is....

οΈ Start on the treadmill to relax into it and plan your next move to what you're going to use next

οΈ Go in with a plan of exercises you are going to complete

οΈ You could start with dumbbell only exercises so you can stay in one place and focus on getting used to the environment first

Habits = Routine
Routine = Consistency
Consistency = Sucess
Success = Happiness
Working out isn't just about losing weight or building muscle.
It's about showing yourself that you're capable of doing something worth doing, that you can hold yourself to your word, that you can push your limits, and do hard things π
Once you realise you can do that in one area of your life, you realise you can do it in every area of your life!!
Short-term sacrifices = long-term results π
Stop thinking, and take action!! You're the only one that can make it happen!! You just need to take the first step

So many women track their progress by just the reading on the scales, It can be very easily done to only measure our progress by what number we can see on the scales, if it doesn't move then it can make us feel disheartened, like all our hard work has been for nothing.
So REMEMBER there are reasons for scale fluctuations π
1- You could be holding more water than usually
2- For us females our cycle and hormone changes
3- You may have had a higher intake of carbs the day before
4- Youve had more salt than usual
5- Lack of sleep
So instead of just going off the number on the scales
Look at these ways to track your progress alongside using the scales π
- Take progress photos
- Take body measurements
- Go off how you feel
- How your clothes fit
- How strong you are
If you feel confident in your body and are feeling better within yourself then why let the number on the scales effect this!!

If I stopped showing up every time, I didn't feel like it... I wouldn't be where I am today!!
Because honestly, there are more days iv not felt like training than I have felt motivated to train.... but I still did it anyway!!
I understood that when motivation was gone, consistency and discipline would get me there.
I understood that the results wouldn't come as quick as i would like, but I remained patient, and I kept putting in the work π
We all start somewhere, and I'm so glad that I made that choice to start and not only to start but to keep going in the weak moments that ultimately have led me here!
If you're thinking about starting a fitness journey, or you have a fitness goal you want to achieve. My advice to you is to stop thinking, stop letting time pass by, and just take action!!! Just start now!!!

The plan only works if you do ππ
If you're consistent in completing the steps that need to be taken each day to achieve your goals, then you will get there π
Consistency is key....
And will determine your results. You can't expect to have your desired physique if you only show up once or twice, or only get the non negotiables done on days that you feel like it...
Your results require dedication and effort in the long term. Even if it's a small effort over time, it WILL add up!
Think about your reason. Why? Why have you decided to have a fitness goal?
Are there things that you could be better at? Ask yourself why you aren't giving it 100%?
Stick to the plan, be consistent, and don't give up!! You're not going to care how long it took when you reach your goal... you will just be so glad that you kept on going and achieved it πͺ

3 things I wish i knew when first starting my fitness journey...
1. Consistently showing up is step 1 and by far the most important. Motivation will come and go, and sometimes you'll need to really rely on your routine as well as that end goal to push you.
2. I truly believe that having a basic understanding of how calories and macros work will help you to reach wherever you want to head in your fitness journey.
I don't think you need to track, but the role they play are rather big, so being able to identify and understand them is a good idea.
3. Food is your bodies fuel. This is my personal favourite because I wish I knew this sooner!! Your body needs a certain amount of nutritious food to function. Let alone trying to train, get strong, and build muscle all whilst under eating!! Make sure you're fuelling your body.

Christmas is a time to relax, wind down and spend time with family and friends, As a coach I always stress to my clients the importance of balance, if you have balance you are more likely to stick to the plan of action that you have set and achieve your goal!
However, this does not mean just having the whole of December to undo all of the hard work you have been putting in over the last few months!!
You've had to work hard to get where you are now! A few days over Christmas isn't going to undo all your hard work. However, a whole month will!!
