🥊 SPAR WARS 2026 🥊

What an unbelievable day for Wakefield Trinity Boxing Club.

Today we hosted our very first Spar Wars, bringing together some of the best talent from Yorkshire and Ireland for an incredible day of boxing.

With nearly 60 rounds of sparring and around 40 boxers stepping through the ropes, the standard from the very first bout to the last was outstanding. The skill, heart, respect and sportsmanship on display showed exactly what amateur boxing is all about.

A massive thank you to Baldoyle Boxing Club for making the trip over from Ireland. It was an honour to welcome such a fantastic club to Wakefield. You brought a brilliant team, great coaches and an excellent attitude all day. We really appreciate the effort you’ve made to travel over, and we hope this is just the beginning of a great relationship between our clubs.

The hours of hard work that go on behind the scenes, week after week, often go unnoticed, but days like today show exactly why it’s all worthwhile. We’re incredibly proud of what we’re building, not only inside the boxing ring but within our community.

To everyone who came through the doors to support the event, thank you. Your support means everything to our club.

Today wasn’t about winning or losing—it was about learning, improving, building friendships and raising the standard of amateur boxing.

We’re proud to announce the launch of “In Your Corner” at Trinity Boxing 🥊

A brand-new community youth club hub for young people aged 10–16, giving them a safe, welcoming space to connect, stay active, make friends and build brighter futures. 💜

Starting from the 1st of June, young people can enjoy:
🥊 Boxing
🎮 Games room
⚽ Other sports & activities
🎬 Movies
🚌 Trips to other facilities
🍿 Snacks & drinks provided

📍 Sessions available:
• Monday – From 4PM
• Wednesday – From 4PM
• Thursday – From 4PM
• Saturday – 8:30AM–12:30PM
