🎯 WINTER DARTS IS UNDERWAY! 🎯

What a way to kick off the winter league as Chipps CC take a 6–5 victory over Selden B! 💚💛

A proper all-round team performance saw us battle right through to the final leg, with the scores level going into the last game. Pete Mansell held his nerve to hit D4 and seal the night 6–5! 🎯🔥

There were plenty of big moments along the way too, with Aaron hitting bull to start the season of in the first bull off of the season, JD hitting a 180 in his doubles game, while Max warmed up for his singles with a maximum of his own! 💥

A great team effort from everyone involved and the perfect start to the winter campaign.

As we begin to wrap up another fantastic season at Chippingdale Cricket Club, we wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to Vanessa for her support in helping us secure nearly £11,000 through the Creating Welcoming Environments Grant! 💚💛

This funding has allowed us to make some brilliant improvements around the club, including baby-changing facilities, new mirrors for the toilets, CCTV inside and outside, a TV that brought everyone together to watch the World Cup, and a BBQ to help us continue providing food at the club.

The improvements don’t stop there either! Work will begin on a new path to further improve access to the club and make Chippingdale an even more welcoming environment for everyone.

A huge thank you again to Vanessa for all her help and support throughout the process. 👏

We’re incredibly grateful and excited to see the lasting impact this funding will have on the club for years to come! 💚💛

🟢🟡MAN OF THE MATCH🟢🟡

What a way to finish the season! 👏💚💛

🥇 1st XI – Sam Avinou
🧤 2 catches behind the stumps
🏏 63 not out*
A match-winning knock to see the 1st XI over the line and, more importantly, secure our safety from relegation. A huge contribution when it mattered most! 💪

🥈 2nd XI – Teja Goparaju
🎯 7 overs | 25 runs | 4 wickets
A brilliant spell with the ball, putting the 2nd XI firmly in control and earning a well-deserved MOTM. 🔥

🥉 3rd XI – Janay Sheikh
🏏 112 not out*
A sensational way to round off a strong season, bringing up his 3rd century of the season! What a finish. 💯👏

A massive congratulations to all three of our final MOTMs of the season! 💚💛

💚💛 THANK YOU, JOSH 💛💚

After 11 incredible years at the helm of the 1st XI, today will be Josh’s last game as the 1st captain.

Eleven years isn’t just a number. It’s thousands of overs, countless decisions, wins, losses, celebrations, frustrations and memories — but above all, it’s eleven years of putting this club before himself.

Josh’s dedication, determination and commitment to Chippingdale Cricket Club has been nothing short of incredible. Through the highs and the lows, he has always led from the front, giving everything he had to the team and to the badge on his chest.

Captaining a cricket team for 11 years takes more than cricketing ability. It takes character, patience, resilience and an enormous amount of heart. Josh has shown all of those qualities time and time again.

There are very few people who can say they have given 11 years of their life to leading a club’s 1st XI. What Josh has done will leave a lasting mark on Chippingdale, and his contribution will never be forgotten.

From everyone at Chippingdale Cricket Club — thank you, Josh. 💚

SEASON ENDING WIN FOR CHIPPS.🎯🍺

Chipps secured their ninth win from 12 games to end the summer league season finishing second on our debut season.

In the singles Josh and Aaron gave us a 2-0 lead. At 3-1 Chipps looked to increase their advantage but Tarring club came back to level 3-3.

So to the doubles. Josh and Aaron lead the way but unfortunately lost in a close game, 4-3 Tarring
So to Max and Jay who played really well to make it 4-4.
Last up Pete and making his debut, Sam Theodoridi. Sam doing the right thing for his partner by getting his darts in the board !! 😁

With the win Chipps were 5-4 up.

So to the final triples of the season. Pete,Jay and Tom won the leg and the match with Pete hitting double 7 leaving the opposition a long way behind.

Last but not least Max,Josh and Sam played superbly leaving the Tarring 3, 350 behind. Albeit Josh finally hitting double 1.

A brilliant combined effort from everyone who took part this season.
