Just wanted to give you all an update on Ray’s cancer journey.
Ray is currently in hospital for his 4th cycle of chemotherapy, where he’ll be staying for the week. There are no photos of Ray today, as he’s feeling pretty poorly from the treatment.
It’s incredibly hard when you can’t do anything to help the person you love except sit by their side and hold their hand. Leaving him at the hospital each day is one of the toughest parts, but I know in a few days he’ll start to feel a little better.
Each round of chemotherapy has taken a little more out of Ray, but he continues to face it with incredible strength and determination.
This is Ray’s last planned chemotherapy treatment. After this, he’ll have around a month’s break before beginning his bone marrow transplant.
Thank you to everyone who has sent messages, cards, and support throughout this journey. Your kindness means more than you’ll ever know, and it really does help us through the difficult days. ❤️.

🚴♀️ Just starting out on your cycling journey? Whether you’ve treated yourself to a brand-new bike or you’re getting back in the saddle after a break, here are a few tips to help you enjoy those first rides.
✅ Make sure your saddle is set to the correct height. A seat that’s too high or too low can lead to knee pain and make pedalling less efficient.
✅ Don’t overdo it on your first ride. Start with a shorter distance and gradually build up as your fitness and confidence improve.
✅ Give your body a chance to recover by leaving a day of rest between your first few rides.
It might feel hard work at first, but stick with it! It really does get easier, and before long you’ll be riding further, feeling fitter, and enjoying every mile. 🚲💙

As many of you know, Ray is about to start his 4th cycle of chemotherapy, which means another week in hospital.
Each round has taken a little more out of him, and he’s becoming much weaker. He’s now finding it difficult to walk any distance, so I’m wondering if anyone has a wheelchair that we could borrow for a few months while he continues his treatment and recovery.
If you have one that you’re not using, or know someone who might be able to help, we’d be so grateful if you could send me a message.
Thank you so much for all the kindness, support and encouragement you’ve shown us throughout this journey. It really does mean the world to us. ❤️

It was great to have Ray pop into the shop today to help us out. 💙
Our bike wash machine decided to stop working, and despite my best efforts, I just couldn’t get it going. Thankfully, Ray came to the rescue and had it sorted in no time!
It’s moments like this that remind us just how much we miss his problem-solving skills and his knack for fixing just about anything. The shop definitely isn’t the same without him.
We’re all looking forward to the day he’s back with us full-time, but we know he still has a few more hurdles to overcome with his cancer treatment. Right now, his health comes first, and we’re taking things one step at a time.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support, kind messages, and encouragement. It really does mean the world to us. ❤️

Last night’s off-road ride was absolutely perfect! 🌅🚴
The temperature had finally cooled down, the trails were quiet, we spotted loads of wildlife, and we were treated to an amazing sunset. It really doesn’t get much better than that!
With the current heat, it’s worth avoiding riding during the hottest part of the day. Evening rides are much more comfortable, and as a bonus, there are usually far fewer cars on the roads.
