Old Crescent RFC is a senior rugby club based in Rosbrien, Limerick. We compete in AIL Division 2B South, we have 4 Senior Mens teams and 1 Senior Women’s team
Club Origins
In the mid 1940s Rev. J.G. Guinane S J. arrived to teach in Crescent College S.J. Limerick. A charismatic individual with a whiff of excitement about him, he had been in action during the war as a Chaplain with the Royal Ulster Ri**es. He was passionate about the game of rugby and probably Old Crescent Rugby Football Club owes its existence to ”The Ginner“ as he came to be called. Ta

Playball started back for the U5's this morning along with all the other groups, welcoming new faces to the U6 Boys and Girls along with U10 & U12 Girls teams!

Our Hugely Successful Underage programme started back last week with over 350 kids and just about enough coaches
Back in Takumi Park from Sunday with the youngest kicking off at 9.30am
Girls and Boys from U6 all the way to U18.5 - we have all ages covered.

Playball Limerick is delighted to be returning to Old Crescent on Sunday mornings for a 10 week program.
Playball is a multi sports program for smaller children. The focus is on fundamental movements, co-ordination, locomotion, manipulation, balance and spatial awareness.
Classes run from 9:30 am to 10:15 am in Old Crescent RFC on Sunday mornings. These classes are available for 2-5yr old's.
Cost is 7 euro per class, 70 euro for the block payable up front and on the website,

It was a wonderful morning in Takumi Park yesterday when we saw over 350 kids back on club grounds, taking part in the Spirit of Rugby
The kids were full of energy after the summer break and wanted to hit the ground running, with some ready to get back to tackling, but for the coaches, they wanted to ease them back in with plenty of games and fitness - making sure friendships were reignited and plenty of fun was had.
If your child, niece, nephew or grandchild would like to take part, training is on Sundays from 9.30am

It's a case of seeing double this week for our Senior 2nds & 3rds with both sides taking on St. Senans RFC with the 2nds in action in the Transfield Cup on Tuesday night at home in Takumi Park followed by our 3rds in the McInerney Cup away on Saturday in Jimmy Slattery Park in Shannon town.
On Wednesday our U21s start their season with a trip to Coonagh to play Shannon in the U21s League.
