What an incredible three weeks promoting the greatest sport to play!
We kicked off our journey with a trip to Te Mata Peak in Havelock North, where we set up a mini tennis net and played tennis at the peak. We then made our way to the Triangle marker at the summit, where we volleyed tennis balls over the map.
This was all part of our promotional plan for Love Tennis 2026! Our next stop on the trip was the Napier Soundshell with Ace in a Different Space, which was supported by the Napier City Council.
On Sunday, August 30th, we set up six Mini Tennis nets and made tennis available for all age groups and skill levels for four hours. The nets were extremely busy, with many people enjoying the sport of summer with their friends and family.
Two weeks later, the day for Love Tennis 2026 finally arrived. It was an incredible turnout, with families, coworkers, and school friends all gathering at the HB Lawn Tennis & Squash Club to enjoy a sport that unites us all. Mini nets were set up, orange junior tennis balls were scattered everywhere, and the ball machine was begging for a break. Despite this, the day continued with adults, teens, and children all enjoying the amazing atmosphere at the HB Lawn Tennis & Squash Club!
Thanks to all the amazing club volunteers on the day and also to the coaching team at HB Lawn Tennis & Squash Club
Here is to the 2026-27 Season!!!!!
