Microneedling isn’t an instant fix — and that’s exactly what makes it so effective. ✨

You may notice a beautiful glow, hydration and some initial plumping shortly after your treatment, but the deeper results take time.

Microneedling works by stimulating your skin’s natural repair processes and encouraging new collagen and elastin production. This happens gradually over the weeks following your treatment.

That’s why I love working with a course of treatments rather than looking for an overnight transformation. Each treatment builds on the last, helping to progressively improve skin texture, firmness, smoothness and overall quality.

Things I avoid in my 40s when it comes to my skin… 🤍

After more than 20 years working with skin, my approach has changed quite a bit.

I’m much less interested in doing more and much more interested in doing what actually supports my skin.

I don’t want to strip it, over-treat it or constantly chase the next miracle product.

I want skin that is healthy, resilient, hydrated and glowing — and that still looks like my skin.

And perhaps most importantly, I’m not trying to stop my skin from ageing.

I want to age well.
To understand how my skin is changing and adapt the way I care for it along the way.

Because I think there’s a big difference between anti-ageing and skin health.

And these days, I’ll choose skin health every time. ✨

If you’re new around here, let me introduce myself...

I’m Becks - skin therapist, skincare educator, product formulator, freelance beauty writer and, quite honestly, a complete skin geek.

I’ve been in the beauty industry for over two decades, but my fascination with skin started much earlier. I struggled with my own skin from a young age, which sparked a curiosity that eventually became a career — and an obsession that I’m still happily indulging in today!

I love learning about the latest skincare science, technology and treatments, and bringing the things I believe are genuinely effective into My clinic.

But for me, great skin is only part of what I do.

I created Biome because I wanted to offer a different kind of skin experience — one where you can take a breath, feel looked after and know that the recommendations you’re receiving are genuinely based on your skin, rather than a sales target.

I don’t work to sales targets, and I think my clients feel that. I’d much rather take the time to get to know you, understand your skin and create a plan that is realistic, effective and affordable.

I also love creating a beautiful experience for every client. My little studio in Titirangi, overlooking the bush and ocean, feels like a sanctuary — a world away from the everyday.

And outside of Biome, I’m mum to my gorgeous 9-year-old daughter, so I know that life is busy. I’m not interested in making skincare complicated or unrealistic either.
I’m here to help you have better skin, feel good in it, and actually enjoy the journey.
