🚴‍♂️ Saturday Shop Ride – June 20 🚴‍♀️

The weather is looking a little mixed for Saturday, but we're planning to roll as usual.

Current plan is to head north through Porirua, tackle Moonshine Road, then return via the motorway. With the forecast remaining a little unsettled, we'll assess conditions on the morning and adjust the route if required.

As always, both rides are self-supported. Please bring spares, tools, nutrition and appropriate clothing for the conditions.

A quick shout out to Volco Café, which has been absolutely pumping in recent weeks. If you haven't been in lately, grab a coffee and a bite before or after the ride and see what all the fuss is about.

Content & Digital Lead – iRIDE (Part-Time)

We’re looking for a hands-on Content & Digital Lead to help grow iRIDE’s presence across email, web, and social.

This is a practical role focused on creating and publishing content each week that drives awareness, engagement, and sales.
You’ll work across:

Email (Klaviyo)
Website (Shopify blog + pages)
Social (Instagram / Facebook)
In-store campaigns and storytelling

We’re a performance-focused cycling retailer, so an interest in cycling is a strong advantage.

Role (10–15 hrs/week):
Create 1 weekly email campaign
Publish supporting blog content
Manage social posts (3–5 per week)
Capture basic photo/video content
Help build and maintain a consistent brand voice
Preference for a Wellington based partner

The weather is looking promising, and we're set for another great morning on the bike.

Rapha Ride rolls as usual, with the group heading out for a steady social spin around the bays.

iRIDE Shop Ride
This week's route heads out to the Wainui Coast and back, taking in one of the region's best stretches of road. We'll have regroup points at the top of Wainui Hill to ensure everyone comes back together before rolling on.

The weather is looking a little... nuanced tomorrow. Not terrible, not perfect, and perhaps a good reminder that we're now firmly into Wellington winter riding! Side note : check out Rapha Bundles on our website.

As such, we'll keep things simple:
✅ Rapha Ride will roll as usual for anyone keen on an easy road spin.
✅ A few of the crew will also depart at the same time for a 2–2.5 hour gravel ride for those wanting to get off the tarmac and explore a few back roads.

As always, come prepared with a roadworthy bike, appropriate clothing, spares, food and a sense of humour. If the forecast changes significantly overnight we'll update here, but for now we're backing ourselves and rolling out.
