Bringing Back the Best of Club Sport 16/06/2026

For many clubs, the traditions that once sat at the heart of community sport have faded over time.

Busy lives, changing social habits and the pressure to fit sport around work and family commitments mean many of us now arrive just in time to play and leave as soon as we're finished.
While that's understandable, something valuable has been lost along the way.

At Khandallah Tennis & Squash Club, we're keen to reintroduce some of the traditions that made sporting clubs such important community hubs for generations β€” sharing a drink after a match, welcoming the opposition into the lounge, staying to watch the next game, and spending time with the people who make our Club special.

This winter we're opening our tennis courts every Saturday from 10am to 4pm for casual hire. No full club membership needed β€” just create a free Hello Club account, book your court online, and you're good to go.

⏰ Saturdays Β· 10am–4pm
πŸ’° $20 per court, per hour
🎾 Tennis courts only (squash courts not included)

Love Tennis Day (13 September) is fast approaching! If you'd like to show your support and order some Love Tennis apparel, please let me know.

Adult sizes are available from Small to 2XL. T-shirts are $25 and hoodies are $65. It appears that the only colours available this year are royal blue or army green for the T-shirts, and grey for the hoodies.

Congratulations to Alisa Zhang and Carolyn Thompson, who competed in the Levin Squash Open over the weekend.
Alisa had a fantastic tournament, taking out the Open title, while Carolyn finished runner-up. πŸ†πŸ₯ˆ

A great start for the KTSC team competing in the Cousins Shield in Christchurch this weekend!

The team has secured the win in their opening tie!

We hope you have a fantastic long weekend and get the chance to relax, spend time with family and friends.

A reminder that Tennis Club Day is on this Sunday from 2.00–4.00pm. Everyone is welcome, and we're keeping our fingers crossed for some sunshine! β˜€οΈπŸŽΎ

We've also made a few tweaks to the website, including the addition of a Club Events Calendar to help keep everyone up to date with what's happening around the Club. We'll look to regularly add events and activities, so it's a great place to check in and see what's coming up. www.ktsc.org.nz
