Dear Snap Family,
Words cannot express the shock, grief, and pain we feel following yesterday’s devastating shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School. During this dark time, we are holding our members, students, families, educators, staff, first responders, friends, and the entire community in our thoughts and prayers.
News of this tragedy may bring fear, grief, confusion, or hopelessness, even for those not directly affected. Please know that you are seen, heard, and part of our family. When one of us hurts, we all hurt. We are working to help everyone feel safer in our gym and throughout the community.
As a local business and members of this community, we want to help however we can. We will connect with local nonprofits, churches, and mental health professionals to share resources for young people and families who may be struggling.
We know how important it is to stay connected with those we care about. Through the end of the month, we are offering free Buddy Passes. Bring a sibling, best friend, or someone you have not seen in a while, and join us in supporting one another’s mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Please check in with staff at the front desk.
As our community continues to process the lasting effects of this tragedy, we encourage everyone to reflect on what matters most, withhold judgment, and find ways to come together. Small acts of kindness—smiling at a stranger, holding a door, sharing a meal, calling a friend, checking on someone who is isolated, learning a person’s name, expressing gratitude, offering encouragement, volunteering, mentoring, or simply sitting beside someone in their pain—can make a meaningful difference.
As General Manager, my door is always open, and our staff is here for you. Whether you need a hug, a high five, a listening ear, or simply a safe place to pause, you are welcome here.
