Hormone myths I’m tired of hearing 🚫

Everything you’ve been told about hormones is probably wrong. Here are 5 myths that need to stop.

Myth 1: Estrogen is the enemy. It’s not. Weight, chronic stress, low thyroid, and leptin resistance create the illusion of estrogen dominance. Melatonin is the master regulator coordinating all your s*x hormones with light.

You don’t have too much estrogen. You have too little support for it to be used and cleared properly.

Myth 2: Cortisol just makes you fat and puffy. Cortisol regulates blood sugar, immunity, inflammation, and sleep. The problem isn’t cortisol, it’s the environment chronically triggering it. That environment is within your control. That’s where your power lies.

Myth 3: Your thyroid labs tell the whole story. Light and leptin control thyroid production. Leptin resistance or light deprivation halts output and thyroid meds won’t fix that if the signals never change.

Always look upstream.

Myth 4: Just slow down and meditate.
Great advice for who, exactly? The postpartum mom on 3 hours of sleep? Little time, lots to do. Will it help? Yes. Will it fix the hormone mechanism? No.
