This a before and a work in progress pic comparison of my client Frances. When she first came to me on July 23, 2021 she had lost around 100 lbs in her own and had hit a plateau. She was weighing in at 180 and 44% body fat, she was wanting to get back to competitive dancing and regain the mobility she once had.
Flash forward to today, she is now 25% body fat and 135 lbs. More importantly she can deadlift 100 lbs, bench press 50 lbs for a 3x4 and squat 75 for a 3x4 and getting ready to compete in her first dancing competition in 30 years. She used to complain about her warm ups being too heavy and now asks for more weight and wants to do more reps.
Her journey is just beginning, she is determined to hit hit more PRs and body fat goals and won’t settle for anything less than first place in her first dancing competition this year. I know she will make it happen! Keep up the amazing work!

Working on stability with the lower half and getting some single arm split stance rows in.
Two plus months in and Avi is still busting his butt. Getting stronger each and every week. This was 225 for 3 reps.
It looks like a bunch of jargon and number.
Each category represents something we can work on or work to maintain.
For example:
The body fat percentage is great but it’s also one of the hardest areas for most people to maintain once you get in a solid range.
If you look at the where the skeletal muscle is, there is a bit more in the upper half of the body. Ideally we would want have more of a balance between the upper and lower body. So this individual needs a little more lower body movements in their workouts.

A little chest finisher:
• Isometric Chest Press- Keep your fists together as you squeeze your pecs and press. Keep your elbows in tight. Setup in a split stance
• Split Stance Chest Fly- Squeeze you chest as your arms make a slight arc towards each other. Squeeze your chest throughout the movement. Keep your shoulders down and elbows at 50-60 degrees.

ISO Adductor Windshield Wipers:
This is a level up from your standard windshield wipers.
* Keys to the movement *
• Use a light ball (4 lbs is what I’m using)
• Squeeze the ball hard with shins while simultaneously squeezing your inner thighs
• Get into a 90 degree pause pull up position
• Take a deep 360 breath and squeeze abs and glutes and perform a swiping motion
• Be sure to work both directions
How many 69 year olds do you know who can hip thrust 165 pounds for a 3x4?
Probably not many.

Lat Pull to Thigh:
Simple but Effective way to engage your lats and make them grow.
I like using the rope to help maximize the stretch of the lat to increase it’s contraction and growth
I also like to hold the bottom position for a second so you can actually get that mind body connection.
New PR for 335 lb Hip Thrust with a pause even. This is 2.3x her bodyweight. Super proud of her, she comes in 3x a week and bust her butt trying to get better than the week before.
405 here we come!
She is also the first female to hip thrust over 300 lbs

Hairy guy was training 5x a week doing primarily strength training. Felt like blah, could lose fat but couldn’t retain muscle, had trouble sleeping. Basically had the hormones of 70 year old.
Hairless Guy feels better than ever, can slowly put on muscle over time while losing fat. Heck he even has a 4 pack on a good day. While he trains 5-6x a week, he can actually reap the benefits now.

While he didn’t make this rep at 350 lbs, he was so close! In a couple months that weight will be nothing!
Don’t underestimate sleep & recovery!
This was supposed to be a warm up. Needless to say it went nowhere after two separate attempts.
4 hours vs 6 hours of sleep is more often than not going to result in a weaker workout.
Your nervous system needs sleep. No matter how much pre workout you take, you can not overcome a CNS half recovered.
Also note, training is like an ebb and flow. Some days things just work then crash.
They will turn around though! Keep at it no matter what!

•Use your core in combination with your hips to rotate side to side
• Breathe and brace abs and grip for dear life.
•Drive your shoulders down to help your lats stay in place

Last week: 1st morning workout in ages, less sleep, nothing to get me hyped to workout
This week: Better quality sleep, hyped/focused. I’ve never been a pre workout person but Sleep Multiplier & Pre Step 1 & 2 have blown me away with how they have changed my workouts.
Never skip a Monday because you never know when you will hit a PR.
