Last year, our incredible Western community came together to donate an incredible 62 turkeys and over 800 food items to the Santa Maria Food Drive!

Western Athletic Club was PACKED for the Neon John Fundraiser with people who love John and wanted to show their support. Whether you played pickleball, purchased raffle tickets, brought food, helped clean up, donated, or simply showed up to give John some love, THANK YOU! Every little bit made a difference, and the outpouring of love was truly something special.
And let's talk about The Best of the West! 🔥 They were in rare form on Saturday, bringing the competition, the camaraderie, and ALL the heart!

Most importantly, Saturday was about so much more than pickleball. It was about friendship, community, and reminding John just how many people are in his corner.

At Western Athletic Club, we’re about so much more than sports and fitness. ❤️ We’re about community, creating a place where everyone belongs, building friendships, and showing up for one another when it matters most. The Neon John Fundraiser was a beautiful reminder of what makes our community so special. When one of our own needs support, we come together, wrap our arms around them, and show them they’re never alone. Western’s Renee Harper qualified for high school state winning a grueling and hard 2-hour match today. Renee is a junior and has been training at Western since she was 7 years old—way to go Renee! Keep it going! 🎾💪❤️

Congratulations to Highlander junior Renee Harper for qualifying for the Girls' Tennis OHSAA State Tournament today! The tournament will take place on Oct 15 and 16 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center! Tickets can only be purchased at ohsaa.org/tickets!

WAC is hosting a Pickleball Event for our friend, Neon John, who is fighting a tough battle, and we're rallying behind him. It is on October 24th from 11:30-3:30. Click on this link to sign up for the event.

Be honest… when’s the last time you restrung your racquet?

If your answer is “I have no idea,” we should probably talk.

Over time, strings lose tension, which means less power, less control, and more work for you. And honestly, you’re already doing enough running around the court.

Rule of thumb:
🎾 Play 2x/week → restring 2x/year
🎾 Play 3x/week → restring 3x/year
🎾 Play 4+ times/week → your strings are basically begging for help.

And if your racquet is from the 1990s… it’s not vintage. It’s tired. 😬😂

🎾 Bring your racquet to the front desk and let us get those strings feeling fresh again. Your game (and your arm) will thank you.
