☀️ Summer pool season starts tomorrow at the Clippard Family YMCA! 🏊💦

Before you jump in, here’s one important reminder for families:

Beginning this weekend, all swimmers under age 16 will need to complete a quick swim test to earn their green band before using the full pool — even if they passed last year.

The good news? The test only takes a few minutes! A lifeguard will guide your child through a short skills check right at the pool, and swimmers who pass will receive their green band on the spot. ✅

We recommend planning a few extra minutes at the start of your visit, especially for your first pool day of the season.

A quick reminder about our weather policy:
⛈️ The outdoor pool may remain open during light rain, but for the safety of our members and staff, the pool will close for at least 30 minutes if we receive notification of lightning within 6 miles of our facility.
🌧️ We may also temporarily close if weather conditions make it unsafe for our lifeguards to clearly see the bottom of the pool.

🚨 Important Pool Update 🚨

To help ensure a safe and successful summer season, our indoor pools (both program pool and waterpark) will be closed on Saturday, May 16 for a city-wide lifeguard and camp counselor training event. 🏊‍♂️☀️

At the Clippard Family YMCA, safety is always our top priority, and this training helps prepare our team to provide a fun, safe experience for everyone all summer long.

We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to welcome you back to the pool soon! 💙

This incredible team jumped in and accomplished every single project we had planned — in HALF the time! From helping us prepare camp spaces to tackling projects all around the branch, their energy, teamwork, and servant hearts made a huge impact.
