Big congrats to these two, Jacob Marlow and Alyssa Taylor who took on the CrossFit Online Semifinals this past weekend. *Unofficially* Jacob is 21st and Alyssa is 71st in the world! Thousands of athletes sign up for the CrossFit Open every year. Only a fraction move on to quarterfinals and an even smaller number move onto semifinals. This is a huge accomplishment and we are so proud of these athletes! 💜

Workout 2 is here! Each team will have 10 minutes for each teammate to establish their 1RM clean & jerk. Each person’s highest weight successfully lifted will be added together.
Standards:
The clean must start from the ground and move to the shoulders in one continuous motion. A hang clean is not permitted. Any style of clean is acceptable (power, squat, split). Once the bar is on the shoulders, athletes will perform a shoulder to overhead. Any style of shoulder to overhead is permitted (strict press, push press, push jerk, split jerk). The lift is successful when the bar is overhead and knees and hips are fully extended.
Flow: At 3, 2, 1 GO athletes will have 10 minutes to establish their heavy clean and jerk. Each team will have 2 barbells available, one men’s and one women’s. Teammates will take turns performing a clean & jerk until each teammate has a successful lift. Teammates may take as little as one attempt or as many as they’d like time permitting.
