Small in numbers, HUGE IN STRENGTH 💪
Thank you so very much to everyone who participated, the crew (you’re getting your own post), and all attendees. It was a riot! A beautiful, 80° sunny OCTOBER day in Des Moines, IA to come listen to metal and lift some awkward stuff.
Congrats to everyone who qualified for 2027 USS Nationals in Atlantic City!
A special visit was made from Rescue Rehab Rehome, donations from the event will be sorted out, and possibly new homes to be had for the pups that came to watch part of the event!
Prize packs and giftcards were given from Valkyrie Strength Club and Fit Pharm Nutrition Thank you very much for your generosity!
Also, a 10 lb holiday ham (1000g of protein, mind you) from Hormel Foods for whoever got the most reps in the car deadlift for men and women! HAMTASTIC! I think we just started a new tradition 😄
Also, if you are looking for commemorative custom awards for your next event- check out MX Trophies out of Carson City, NV. Their staff was perfect, timely, and the awards looked amazing!
Method Merch killed it again with the rad event t-shirts. Thank you for helping us look cool 😎
But truly, we can’t thank enough the people who were involved in this year’s event. Especially Des Moines Barbell Club for allowing us the gym space and lending whatever equipment we needed. Jake Hartman even gave us those gnarly engine blocks from his own garage!
We appreciate everyone being understanding as the outdoor gym area experienced some much needed growing pains the same week of our competition 😜
In the end, it really is a great feeling to see people come together to give their all, push their limits, and of course laugh and scream at each other for this weird, awesome sport of ours 🖤
