Words can’t describe how incredible this black belt promotion was. Ten students promoted to first-degree black belt, two students promoted to second-degree black belt, and four current blackbelts earned their white stripes. As white belts, they were taught “always finish what you start” “mind over matter” and “never quit”. No matter how much physical training they were tasked and pain they felt, they never quit. Every one of these students hit a point of failure, whether it was physical training, exhaustion, not breaking boards/bricks or getting dominated by sparring two people. They all had the mindset, “never quit”. We are so proud of their resilience, determination, and mental strength. They used all the values and principles that have been taught in the past years to complete their black belt goal. That was the perfect example of when life knocks you down, get up and keep fighting. Congratulations and use this experience as a key to be successful in life. “A blackbelt is a white belt that never quit” Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, family members, and friends who supported these students to prepare for this moment. We are grateful for your support and sacrifices 🙏!

Congratulations to Alex for July “student of the month”. Alex is not only a great student, but one of our lead instructors. He has devoted most of his life to taekwondo and leads by example. He’s not only a taekwondo teacher but a high school teacher at Sulphur High School. He has dedicated his life to learning and teaching in both education and taekwondo. He is currently pursuing his goal to become a fourth-degree black belt “master level”. He has recently earned his “master degree“ at McNeese State University while working full time and training. We are so proud of his achievements and passing on the knowledge to our students. Great job Alex!

Congratulations to Andrew and JaLayne!
Andrew is one of our head instructors and recently graduated at McNeese State University. He will begin his career as a chemical engineer and continue to teach while training for his 2nd degree black belt. Andrew is the perfect example of a taekwondo student earning his degree while training. We are also grateful for his father Todd, who earned his black belt when Andrew was a baby and lead by example. Congratulations on your wedding and enjoy your honeymoon because you’re going to feel the pain the following Monday! 😉💪🏽
