One of my students is officially stepping into the next chapter of his career ⚽️⚡️

This is what years of hard work look like.

The early mornings.
The extra training sessions.
The days nobody saw.

And on top of that… coming back from hip surgery and refusing to let it stop him.

Watching his journey has been incredible. From putting in the work day after day, to now being ready to compete at the college level.

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it.

I can’t wait to watch his highlights from his college season and see everything he accomplishes. ⚡️⚡️ .hughes.recruitment

Start or Sit on the Bench?

Too many athletes are chasing the Division 1 label…

and forgetting the one thing that actually matters playing the game.
Sitting on a D1 bench doesn’t build confidence.
It doesn’t build development.
And it definitely doesn’t build love for the game.

The right program does.
Recruiting isn’t about the biggest logo.
It’s about fit, opportunity, and development.
If you want real minutes, real growth, and a recruiting plan that actually matches your goals…

Comment “RECRUIT” and let’s map out a strategy that puts you on the field not on the sideline.

The gap between a HS athlete and a college athlete?
Mentality. Not talent.

This is the actual difference.
How competitive is your athlete?
Are they so competitive that they refuse to be the victim?

High school mindset:
It’s not fair.
Coach doesn’t like me.
College mindset:
What can I control?
How do I earn it?
Getting recruited isn’t about hype.
It’s about ownership.

If you want to build a college-level mentality and stop guessing the recruiting process

The difference between athletes who win… and those who don’t?

The story they tell themselves.
Successful athletes carry a winning narrative.
When things go wrong, they don’t spiral they adjust.

They expect it to work out because they trust themselves to figure it out.

That mindset changes everything:
• How they train
• How they show up
• How they handle setbacks
• How they approach recruitment
Most athletes are defeated internally before kickoff even happens.

So ask yourself
What story are you telling right now?
If you’re ready to shift from a losing mindset to a winning one in your recruitment journey

College coaches don’t always recruit the most talented players.
They recruit the most relentless ones.
Talent gets noticed.
Relentlessness gets offers.
In the college recruitment process, coaches are looking for:
⚽ Consistency
⚽ Work ethic
⚽ Coachability
⚽ Communication
⚽ Athletes who follow up
⚽ Players who take ownership of their recruitment
If you think college coaches only recruit the “best player on the field,” you’re already behind.
They recruit athletes who show up again and again in emails, in DMs, in highlight updates, and on game day.
Recruitment isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being persistent.
If you’re serious about playing college soccer and want a real recruitment strategy, comment “RECRUIT” and let’s build your plan.

There’s so much pressure in sports.
To perform.
To win.
To prove something.

But the athletes who play with peace?
They play differently.

Faith doesn’t replace preparation.
It strengthens it.

And recruiting isn’t about luck.
It’s about alignment, discipline, and doing things the right way early.

If your athlete wants to compete with confidence and build a real path to the next level…

Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck calls it mindset.

Fixed mindset athletes see mistakes as identity.
Growth mindset athletes see mistakes as information.

Coaches don’t trust talent.
They trust resilience.

Comment “RECRUIT” if you want your athlete trained to respond, not react.

If you think it’s “too late,” it’s not.
If you think the club will handle recruiting, they won’t.

Talent needs visibility.

Most athletes think college soccer recruiting is about talent and good grades.

It’s not.

If you’re waiting for coaches to find you, barely updating your highlight reel, or assuming GPA + skill equals offers… you’re already behind in the college soccer recruitment process.

If you’re serious about getting recruited and earning scholarship opportunities, comment RECRUIT and let’s build a real strategy.

The biggest recruiting mistake?
Thinking you have time.

The first week of the season sets the tone.
For your team.
And for your recruitment.

Coaches are watching early results.
Not just highlights. Momentum.

Start now or blend in later.

Comment RECRUIT and I’ll show you how to stand out this season.

Most families wait until junior year to get serious.

By then, habits are set. Confidence is shaky. And the window feels smaller than it should.

Recruiting doesn’t start with exposure.
It starts with structure.

If your athlete is heading into high school and you want to do this the right way from day one, don’t wait.

Comment RECRUIT and I’ll show you how the system works.
