Well, one more trip around the sobriety sun… 19 years in the blink of an eye! Today I am filled with immense gratitude for every single thing in my life. I owe so much to so many! 19 years ago I was shattered and a shell of broken-ness. I was desperate not to die! I believed that was the choice in front of me; Step into life or stay in my addiction and death would be the absolute end to my story. I asked for help and help surely came. I would not be here without the enormous blessing of the incredible people and the angels !! Michael Johnson and Robert Rivers, these were my lifelines in the beginning. And, may I say, most remain to this day! Robert and Michael have passed and I miss them! I’ve lost so many friends to addiction over the years. It’s been a devastating reminder of just how blessed I am. I left treatment with literally nothing but hope in my pocket. Today I am a living testimony of what is possible if you put your faith in something bigger than yourself! My life is full; not easy! My family is my absolute everything. God lead me to my wife Tina, , who is the most loving, giving and intuitive soul I could have ever hoped for. I am so blessed by our children and the lessons I have learned in how to love! Everything else is the extra spectacular world that I am grateful to enjoy!! 19 years… as would say, “I’ Movin’ On”… Life is so much better today! I Love You All!!!

A very contemplative morning in Monterey California… it’s such an amazing life!

When we are in flow, we let go of all that is holding us back. We are freed from grasping and avoidance. The sense of being alone falls away as we dive wholeheartedly into whatever we’re doing, whatever is coming up in the present moment… -Todd-

A Little health scare! Well friends I spent a bit of time in the hospital the past couple of days. I had a TIA, commonly known as a “mini-stroke!” On Wednesday I experienced an extremely horrifying complete loss of vision in my left eye. Luckily I wan at home so Tina acted quickly to get me to the ER. The cliff notes are, after an MRI of my brain and eyes, a ultrasound of my eye, the most thorough eye exam I’ve ever had by an ophthalmologist, a CT scan of my carotid artery and a battery of blood tests the TIA was what they came up with. I guess my eye saved the day as it could have been a full blown stroke. Thankful to all the Dr’s, nurses and techs at St. Thomas Ascension Rutherford!! I’m also happy to report all of my tests were awesome and your boy is back home and extremely grateful!
One has a lot of time to think, and pray, when things like this happen. It gives clarity to what is important and what I should focus my time and energy on. I certainly will not be giving my time and energy to anything or anyone that does not earn it! I feel exceptionally blessed to be here today and I do not intend to waste a moment of time. I am deeply committed to God, my family and you who need me. I love you all!! Here’s to a good long life! ~Todd~

She is quite simply spectacular, sassy, and stunning! She is a light! She is talented and elegant. She is messy and a force! I love her beyond words! Today she is twelve and it feel like we were just at the hospital welcoming her into the world! She has given so much and endured loss that has shaped her perception. She rises above it everyday. She loves so deeply and has wisdom beyond her year… I am so very proud to be her dad(she doesn’t call me daddy anymore)! Happy Birthday Emmabear. I and love and you…Madly!!!
