Been a minute since I’ve posted anything fitness related, but the MVN family is still working hard and kicking butt 💪🏾

Kelsey started her journey with me a little over a year ago and she’s been nothing but consistent from the beginning! She showed up on mornings when there was snow, rain, sunshine, didn’t matter! She made no excuses and the results of her dedication show!

Small changes to her diet and workout routine have been key. Most importantly she showed up everyday for HERSELF and she’s told me multiple times how proud of herself she is for the changes she’s made. That’s what it’s all about. You have to make changes in your life for you and you only. That’s when you truly sustain the lifestyle changes you’ve made.

Super proud of you , keep up the awesome work and keep 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Wanted to share a thread I read on Twitter this morning. Really highlights what to look for in a “trainer” while on your fitness/athletics journey.

A coach should invest their time and energy into finding a routine that works best for you and your own personal goals/lifestyle. There is no cookie cutter way to do things. There’s always a different cue, alternative exercise/drill that may create a deeper understanding of a task at hand. The job of a coach is to figure that out and do what’s best for the client/athlete. Anyone who says otherwise is just flat out wrong. Do what works best for you, what is going to be the most sustainable, and what you enjoy doing.

I love my job and I pride myself on striving to do what’s best for each and every one of my clients and athletes. Wouldn’t have it any other way 🤷🏾‍♂️🤞🏾

Today’s 1 on 1 session with one of my track athletes at Olathe Northwest in preparation for the season 🏃🏻‍♀️

Today’s focus was on low heel recovery during our drive phase of sprinting. The first 2-3 steps while accelerating are very crucial to having a good start in a race. By having low heel recovery, it shortens the time your feet are off the ground, while remaining powerful and pushing/driving your momentum forward.

1st video: Andie’s first step is nice and low to the ground, but her second step is much higher. On that second step, her heel comes up so high she almost kicks her butt.

2nd video: We stacked some cones, and placed them behind her front foot. The goal was to kick the top cone off, to ensure that second step stays low.

Last video: If you compare the first and last videos, you can see how much lower her feet are in relation to the ground. That left heel doesn’t even come close to her butt this time and she is almost dragging her toes which is awesome! Again this ensures she gets quicker, more powerful strides out of the blocks in a race.

Very productive session, still little things we can improve on, but very proud and happy with today’s results 🙌🏾

I’m beyond thankful & blessed to be selected & featured in the local Kansas City magazine, for their “Inspiring Stories Series”🙏🏾

It’s still hard to believe the support I’ve received in a little over a year when I started my personal training business. I couldn’t have asked for a better start to my career and pray that I continue to grow and impact lives in a positive way.

I truly do have the best support system anyone could ask for so I want to thank you all 🙌🏾

🚨🚨CLIENT UPDATE🚨🚨

Here is an update on all the work my guy has been putting in!

He’s been one of the most consistent AND accountable clients I’ve had. He comes in every session and busts his ass, but that’s not what really impresses me. It’s his work outside of our sessions together. The amount of discipline it takes to go to the gym 3-4x/week to complete on your own is TRUE accountability. I can get anyone through a workout at the gym, but doing it when no one is watching is what really separates yourself from the crowd to get where you want to be 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I’m super proud of the work you’ve put in so far but as you know, we aren’t done yet!!! Keep doing you, putting in the work, and we’ll keep

🚨🚨 CLIENT UPDATE 🚨🚨

First client transformation of 2021 goes out to .cuda ‼️ You see the improvements in body composition, but let’s talk about the difference in confidence in the second picture!!

Sierra, just like most of us, has a very busy schedule. She could only fit in 2 workouts per week into her schedule and she was concerned that, that wouldn’t be enough to make a change. Well as she learned and as you can see, that can be enough! What’s more important is finding a routine that is sustainable and CONSISTENT!! Find a routine that works for you and your schedule and stick with it. She comes in, busts her butt, and put her trust in the process and has found something that works for her. I am beyond proud of you Sierra and can’t wait to keep kicking ass in the next phase of this journey together! Keep working hard and let’s keep

🚨🚨 Client Update 🚨🚨

Laurel is a prime example of the results you can achieve if you don’t make excuses for yourself. Probably half of her sessions are after working a 12 hour shift as a nurse. She very easily could say “Let me just cancel today, I’m too tired” or “I’m just not feeling it today” but she shows up session after session, and works her butt off!! These results are only half the story though.

What I’m most proud of is the mental side of training together. She holds herself to such a high standard, and sometimes that can wear on you. But what I love is that her confidence is growing and she is learning that it is ok to have an off day whether that be with nutrition, workouts, or just life in general. Everyday won’t be perfect. Those days or even weeks happen but what is most important is to get back on track as soon as you can. She has made great improvements both mentally and physically and I’m beyond proud of her! This is only the beginning and can’t wait to continue this journey together 💪🏾 Keep up the great work and

🚨🚨 CLIENT UPDATE 🚨🚨

Paige came to me with the goal of gaining weight, building muscle, and keeping her athletic build. Well, I’d say she hit every one of those goals! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I tell her all the time that is hard to believe those are the same shorts because of how well she fills them out now. She’s added size and definition to her legs and glutes. Her arms have great definition 💪🏾 All while keeping those abs she’s always had!

We’ve changed her macros a couple of different times. Went from eating about 2500 calories/day to 1800 calories/day to get ready for her vacation. Along the way she has been spot on with nutrition and consistent every week. She comes into the gym & busts her butt every time! When we started I had no doubt in my mind she would achieve every one of her goals since I ran track with her at Baker so I know the type of work ethic she already had. Super proud of her and so excited to see where we go with the next phase of our training together! We’re going to keep progressing &
