Wishing a Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible moms out there, especially our very own, Josie. 💙
As a mom, co-founder, and the one who keeps everything running behind the scenes, she pours so much into both our family and SWELL every single day. Whether she’s chasing after Niko, helping take care of our clients, or managing the countless details that keep things moving, she does it all with so much love and grace.
Today we also want to celebrate all of the amazing moms we’re fortunate to work with every day. So many of you are constantly balancing work, family, training, and taking care of everyone around you, while still showing up for yourselves and pursuing your own health, fitness, and performance goals. That’s something worth celebrating.
We see the effort, the sacrifice, and the consistency it takes, and we’re incredibly grateful to be a part of your journey.

🏃♂️ CLIENT WIN WEDNESDAY 🏃♂️
TJ is back at it again… and somehow raising the bar even higher 🔥
When TJ first came to SWELL Physical Therapy & Performance, he was in the middle of marathon training, dealing with leg pain that threatened to derail his progress. His goal was clear: fix the issue without sacrificing performance.
We got to work with a full running gait analysis, hands-on treatment, and a heavy emphasis on running-specific strength and mobility. The focus wasn’t just getting him out of pain - it was helping him run more efficiently so he could keep improving long-term.
Fast forward to his latest race weekend… and it did not disappoint 👇
🏁 Race 1: 5K (4/11/26)
➡️ Finish Time: 23:30
➡️ 🥇 First in Age Group
🏁 Race 2: Full Marathon (4/12/26)
➡️ Chip Time: 3:50:54
➡️ ⛰️ 1400+ ft elevation gain
➡️ 🥈 Second in Age Group
➡️ Overall: 144 / 847 runners
And here’s the wild part…
➡️ The course was mismarked at 26.7 miles (instead of 26.2)
➡️ His true marathon time for 26.2: 3:46:16
➡️ That’s a PR by over 3.5 minutes 💥
Back-to-back race days. A longer-than-marathon marathon. A PR anyway.
That doesn’t happen by accident.
It’s the result of dialing in the details - building strength where runners typically lack it, improving mobility, and reinforcing better movement patterns mile after mile.
TJ put it best:

This is what happens when you commit to the process and train with intention.

We had to give another shoutout to Mary Lyn because…
she’s done it again. 🔥🇫🇷
On April 12th, Mary Lyn took on the Paris Marathon and delivered yet another incredible performance - crossing the finish line in 3:13:46, shaving 18 seconds off her previous PR! 🤯💪
If you’ve been following her journey, you know this is about so much more than just a time on the clock. Just over a year ago, Mary Lyn came to SWELL unable to run more than a quarter mile without significant hip pain. Since then, she’s not only returned to running - she’s elevated her performance to an elite level, stacking major marathons and continuing to get faster with each one. 💨
To go from pain-limited to setting PRs on international stages like Paris is no small feat. It’s a testament to her consistency, resilience, and commitment to the process day in and day out. We’re proud to be in your corner and can’t wait to see what’s next. 👏🙌

🏃♂️CLIENT WIN WEDNESDAY🏃♂️
This week we’re celebrating Will and an incredible race-day breakthrough.
We first met Will at a local race when he mentioned he’d been dealing with calf pain for several months that was starting to hold him back in training. With the Oak Mountain 50k just around the corner, he came in for a session to get things checked out.
After some dry needling and a few targeted stretches to keep his calf happy, Will put the work into his training and showed up ready to race.
The result?
🏃♂️ Oak Mountain 50k Finish Time: 6:20:21
⏱️ Previous 50k PR (last fall): 7:19:38
That’s almost a full hour PR - and he ran the entire race pain-free!!
This is a perfect example of what can happen when a dedicated athlete puts in the work and gets the right support along the way. We’re proud we could play a small role, but the real credit goes to Will and the training he put in to make this happen.
Huge congratulations on the PR, Will. That’s a massive accomplishment. 👏🔥
