I tested this on myself before I ever used it with a client, and I was NOT prepared.

It was like my SIs MELTED into efficiency. I wish someone was watching my gait LOL

I picked a spot across the room, told myself not to let it bounce, and started walking. And I could physically FEEL the embodiment of more efficient movement mechanics.

Try it on yourself first. You'll feel it in your own body before you know what to look for in theirs.

Whatchu think? Will you try Y or N? ⬇️

Your eyeballs are involved in WAY more than most of us were ever taught in movement school 😂 And once you start testing them, you cannot unsee it.

Just moving the eyes involves cranial nerves 3, 4, and 6, plus a whole bunch of coordination happening behind the scenes between vision, the brainstem, the vestibular system, and the rest of the brain.

Try this with yourself. Pick a target, keep your head still, and move just your eyes over to it. Can you get there smoothly? Can you hold your eyes there? Does one side feel totally normal and the other side feel like your eyeball has never done this before in its life? 😂

Now here is the part I actually care about. Take a movement baseline BEFORE you do it, then do the eye drill, then check the movement again. I am not interested in collecting random weird findings just to say, “look how neuro I am.” I want to know if changing an input changed something useful.
That is the whole game.

Tell me below if you already use eye drills with your clients or if this still feels brand new.

It’s live & it’s today 🧠👏🏽

And no, we will absolutely not be working on the jaw at all because what kind of practitioner do you think I am and what kind of page do you think this is?? a normal one??? 😂😂😂

On a serious note I *WILL* absolutely be going over how I think about jaw issues “the Missy way” and you might think it’s absolutely insane or you might love it or ….both. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I guess you’ll actually have to come to class to find out COUGH COUGH

Are your clients dealing with weird and persistent jaw pain? Or maybe they’re grinding their teeth and feeling numbness in their face?

Try the trigeminal nerve glide (if they're cleared of course)!

It’s easy to blame stress or assume it’s just “how they are,” but the real culprit might be the trigeminal nerve, which is the largest cranial nerve. When this nerve gets irritated, it can trigger TMJ pain, jaw tension, and numbness. IYKYK!

GO SLOW and REDUCE THE ROM at first.

And if their TMJ is just not letting up, join me on September 23rd for JAW DROPPING, where I'm sharing 5 brain-based ways to troubleshoot stubborn TMJ cases. You won't want to miss this!

Comment TMJ below, and I will send you all the deets!

When something finally clicks... and it's not your jaw 😉 !

If you'd like a little "what would missy do?" action, I'll see you soon. We will hang out AND I will be doing about a gazillion things I have never ever done during this class with a HUGE surprise. Come find out what it is!

The quickest way to confuse a client? Test somewhere that doesn't hurt. 😂

I get it.

If someone came up to me and started rubbing my forehead because my jaw hurt, I'd have questions too LOL!!

But here's the cool part...Some of the best clues have nothing to do with where the pain is. Learning to think through the nervous system completely changed the way I work with clients, and honestly, it made movement way more fun.

That's exactly why I created a brand new masterclass that I have NEVER TAUGHT before on the exact topic "TMJ ISSUES"!!!!

drop TMJ below right meow to get all the deets, I promise it will be worth it. Aint nothing like a LIVE class.

Wellllll... that's some jaw-dropping good stuff right there. (Pun intended because obviously I'm hilarious.)Jaw Dropping...

$48 VIP adds lifetime replay, the TMJ troubleshooting workbook, the slides, a VIP Q&A with me afterward, and a lifetime of replay access to that as well!

Comment TMJ, and I'll send you both options 👇

I know you've got AT LEAST one client on your roster with a TMJ issue, and you've already done all the "normal things that work" 🙃

👉🏽 This post is for you!

I've found this line of thinking can really change the pain experience for TMJ clients (as in totally weird and unconventional) , try it and let me know what happens. I love hearing your results 🥹

If this sparked an a-ha lightbulb moment, you're going to love my *LIVE* (actually missy teaching NOT RECORDED) class.

I'm walking you through 5 brain-based ways I troubleshoot stubborn jaws, including where I go before I go anywhere near the jaw itself 👀

It's $19 to get in and $48 gets you the WHOLE SHABANG.

Drop TMJ and I'll send you the link!

You don’t need 25 more TMJ exercises.

You need more places to look when the obvious stuff isn’t changing anything.

That’s the whole point of this class. To help you get better at testing an idea, seeing what changes, and knowing what to explore next instead of feeling stuck when a stubborn case doesn’t respond the way you expected.

Because the goal isn’t to memorize another protocol. It’s to become the kind of practitioner who can stay curious, follow the clues, and have a few more tools in your back pocket when your client says, “It still hurts.”

If that sounds like you, come nerd out with me.

Drop TMJ and I’ll send you the details. 👇

Cranial Nerve V, aka the trigeminal, is one of the most overlooked nerves in the body.

Most people know it for sensation in the face and jaw. They miss that it's also in on posture, stability, breathing mechanics, and how the nervous system decides whether you're safe.

So when it isn't getting good input, you get jaw clenching, facial tightness, neck and shoulder tension, or movement that just doesn't make sense on paper.

Here's the kicker. You can change that input with things that feel almost too simple, like light touch or breathwork.

Better input = a safer brain = better movement.

And notice what none of that required. Going after the jaw. 👀

There's a crap ton to say about this, so I'm teaching a whole class *LIVE* yes like live, as in, no AI, just regular ol' me LOL.

Comment TMJ, and I'll send you the details.

Stay weird and curious. ✨
