“My name is Peggy Tang and I’m the lead teacher at Pure Barre San Diego Hillcrest. I decided to join pure barre cause not only is it a workout it’s actually a community of really passionate people! And when you bring passionate people together really amazing things can happen.

Pure Barre is a low impact, high intensity exercise that really changes your body in the least amount of time. It’s really one of the most effective workouts there is on the market today. Pure Barre is great for everyone, whatever your abilities are. If you can walk through the door you can do Pure Barre.

My Pure Barre experience has really been an amazing journey for me. I don't think Pure Barre is just something I do, I feel like Pure Barre is part of who I am. Going to Pure Barre class is part of my overall well being. It’s part of my mental health maintenance.” -Peggy Tang

Meet Morgan from @purebarrecomo! Here is why she loves Pure Barre.

“After taking @pure_barre for six years, and teaching for over five, I could never figure out why I loved it so much. I just knew I needed it.

Yesterday, while taking class, I finally figured it out. This is where it gets super cheesy. But hang with me 🙂

My love languages are physical touch and words of affirmation. In every Pure Barre class, you get both of those. Your effort is Acknowledged and hands on enhancements challenge you. It only took teaching over 1000 classes and taking over 750 to realize that it literally makes my heart so happy for the reasons real life and love make me feel loved.

Using Your Breath During Exercise- Your muscles use oxygen as fuel to engage, especially in more effortful sections of class. Whenever you hear your teacher cue to breathe throughout class, think of taking full, deep inhales, and exhaling forcefully as your muscles contract to more efficiently engage the working muscles. Avoid shallow breathing or holding your breath.

Meet Devan from Pure Barre Bridgewater! Here is her inspiring journey at Pure Barre!

“Pure Barre has been my constant throughout chaos! During the pandemic and my first pregnancy, I took a Pure Barre class almost every day. Even the morning before I went into labor! I was able to have a smooth pregnancy and delivery thanks to Pure Barre. After being cleared by the doctor, I started back up again and joined the 2020 fall fit challenge. I was able to complete the challenge, even though I started a few weeks late. This year, I am on track to complete the platinum barre challenge - I always try to make time for a class even though I’m a full time working mom. Being fit makes me feel my best. All the Pure Barre instructors are so inspiring and help me be the best I can be. When I hit my 750th class this summer, I let my little guy join in on the plank series :) Thank you Pure Barre!" -
