Lifting heavy complements every sport.
Builds overall strength. Builds muscle. Builds strong joints. Builds strong connective tissue. Builds mobility. Builds resiliency. Builds work capacity. Builds agency. Builds focus. Builds discipline. Builds self-efficacy.
Why would you not lift heavy?

This is the shift weâve been building toward all along.
Away from isolation, where everything depends on your own willpower, and toward community, where showing up is shared, supported, and sustainable.
I am committed to supporting you in moving away from pressure.
Thatâs how you end up burning out.
In order to stay consistent, you need support.
Not someone yelling at you to push harder.Â
My mission for my clients is to help them become someone stronger, steadier, and more capable over time.
Thatâs what growth looks like at Made4More.
We use the barbell as the tool, but the work goes far beyond that.
Strength training allows you to build self-trust, resilience, and confidence you can actually carry into every other aspect of your life outside the gym.
Community is the foundation that makes it last. Through community, we can find accountability, connection, and belonging.
And our people? They donât disappear when things get hard. They double down...for each other.
When we lift more, we can live more. And thatâs how we become strong for LIFE.
If youâre ready to experience the difference we canât wait to welcome you.

18 months. Two major injuries. One massive lesson: An injury is a detour, not a dead end.
My journey started with a bad nerve block that left my left leg and foot numb from the knee down. Because I couldnât feel my leg, I unknowingly changed my squat form to compensate. That led to hip instability and deep joint pain that made training challenging, difficult, and frustrating for a good chunk of 2025.
I spent an entire year in the trenches of rehab. I rebuilt my squat, found my confidence, and signed up to compete on 1/31/26. I felt ready and excited.
Then, on Dec 27th, I tore my hamstring deadlifting.
Iâll be honest: I was crushed. I spent that first week grieving the prep I thought I was having. After a year of fighting back from hip and back issues, a serious acute injury felt too much. But as the pain subsided and the âbench onlyâ option became a reality, my perspective shifted.
I am an athlete mindset nerd. I love reading books, listening to podcasts and interviews, following mindset coaches accounts, and reposting their words of wisdom and quotes. I dug in and applied a lot of this knowledge to my situation.
Watching the grit, poise, and resiliency of the Olympians these last few weeks reminded me that the âperfectâ path to the podium rarely exists. Most of the time, greatness is just the result of refusing to quit when the plan changes.
Here are a few things this 18-month âmasterclassâ in injury has taught me:
* Grief is part of the process. Itâs okay to be upset. Give yourself a week to feel it, then look for the next move.
* Modify, donât abandon. If you canât squat, bench. If you canât run, swim. There is almost always a way to keep your momentum if youâre willing to be flexible.
* Commit to the âboringâ work. Rehab isnât sexy, but itâs where the comeback is built. Patience is a performance metric.
* Focus on the âcan.â Itâs easy to obsess over what you lost. Itâs much more productive to find gratitude for what your body is still capable of doing.
* Believe in the return. Injuries change how you move, but they donât change who you are. You canâand willâcome back stronger.

People donât come here just to train.
They come because they donât want to start this journey solo.
Let me put it this wayâŠ
đ Some of our clients have never lifted a weight before. Some of them have never stepped foot in a gym.
đ For others? Itâs been a long time.
đ Still more have lifted weights but are ready to level up and learn barbell squats, bench, and deadlifts.
I firmly believe the best way to see the lasting results, the lifelong shifts you crave, is to build strength in proximity to other people who are showing up, trying, learning, and staying when things get hard.
Thereâs something powerful about being coached as an individual while training alongside others who are also investing in themselves.
It creates accountability without pressure, support without comparison, and progress that doesnât rely on willpower alone.
My clients are people who spend their lives giving: to families, clients, communities.Â
Here with us and with each other, they get to be held, supported, and challenged in return.
Not with gimmicks or quick fixes, but with thoughtful coaching, clear communication, and a process designed for real lives.
Strength is the tool, but community is the driving force.
And together, thatâs what turns âI donât know if I canâ into âIâm doing it!â
So thatâs why Iâm not âjustâ a personal trainer.Â
âšIâm here to bring people together to shift themselves into a forward gear, to achieve the things they once only dreamed of doing or never thought they could.
I set the tone. I cultivate true connections. I ensure that everyone FEELS the most important aspect of the Made4More ethos:
You. Are. Welcome. Here.

CLIENT SPOTLIGHT
Standard Saturday at the office? Not even close. đ€đ„
Beyond proud of these two for showing up and showing out at the Powerlifting America meet hosted by on January 31st.
Naomi .francine | The Comeback Queen đ This was Naomiâs second meet, and after a truly challenging prep, she proved exactly what sheâs made of. She went 8/9, secured Squat and Bench platform PRs, and crushed a 112.5 kg (248 lbs) deadlift to match her all-time PR. Taking 5th place against a field of veteran lifters after the grind she put in was the absolute highlight of the day.
Nic | The Unicorn đŠ First meet? Youâd never know it. Nic went a perfect 9/9 with all white lightsâthe elusive âunicorn meet.â They missed the podium by a razor-thin 1.6 points in a stacked class, setting PRs across the board and capping it off with a massive 142.5 kg (314.2 lbs) pull. We truly donât know where Nicâs ceiling is yet, but weâre going to have a lot of fun finding out.
The kilos on the bar are great, but the way these two lift each other up is what makes them elite. It is an absolute honor to be in your corner and watch such compassionate, hard-working people shine. Letâs get back to work! đđȘ

The Made4More community was built for people who donât want to do this alone...
But also donât want to be lost in the noise of the fitness industry.
âĄïž We create a space where accountability, connection, and belonging matter just as much as the work itself.
Our approach to coaching is personal, effort is respected, and weâre stronger because we show up TOGETHER.
That starts with the people who lead the room.
đ Heather built Made4More on the core beliefs that we donât *have* to work out (we get to), strength is for life, and lifting heavy can change far more than your body.
After years of coaching, learning, refining, and obsessing over the details that actually keep people strong long-term, her approach remains equal parts discipline and humanity.Â
Sheâll challenge you, tell you the truth, and remind you youâre human all in the same session.
đȘ Juan is a reflection of that philosophy in motion.
He came to Made4More as an athlete first, invested in boxing and climbing.
Through years of training alongside Heather, he learned that strength was the missing piece that elevated everything else he did. It made him stronger AND more capable.Â
đ„ Juan grew more confident in his body. He believed in the process so deeply that he chose to step into coaching himself and become part of this team.
Juan coaches with intention, presence, and respect for the fundamentals. He speaks fluent Spanish, bringing an added layer of accessibility and inclusivity that matters deeply to our ethos here.
đïž Heâs currently accepting new clients and would love to work with you! Whether your goal is performance, confidence, or simply feeling more capable in your everyday life, heâs ready to be in your corner.
Together, we are lifelong learners and we are committed to coaching with care. We lead with integrity, and we believe strength should support your whole life, not compete with it.
đïžââïžđ We will always be committed to becoming strong for LIFE and mastering strength that stays with you.
Our motto? Lift more. Live more.

Strength, Inclusion, and Justice: A Statement from Made4More Fitness
At Made4More, we believe in the transformative power of strengthânot just in the gym, but in our communities. As a queer-owned, gender-affirming, anti-racist, and inclusive business, we stand firmly against the injustices perpetrated by ICE and the current administration.
We are horrified by the harm inflicted upon our neighbors and communitiesâpeople who deserve compassion, understanding, and support.
**Our Values**
**Inclusivity** We welcome everyone, regardless of their background, identity, or experience.
**Support** We advocate for those who are marginalized and oppressed.
**Strength** True strength is not just physical; itâs standing up for what is right.
If you cannot stand with us against oppression and injustice, then we do not want your business. Our community is built on love, respect, and solidarity, and we will not compromise our values for profit.
Letâs lift each other upâtogether, we can create a safe and empowering space for all.

Strength doesnât start and end in the gym.
It shows up in how you manage full days, in the way you make decisions when youâre tired, and in how you keep promises to yourself loooong after the initial motivation wears off.
THATâS the kind of strength we train here.
Yes, we lift heavy and we care about technique, progression, and structure.
But what weâre really building is follow-through.Â
đ„ We need you, no we WANT you, to have the ability to trust yourself. That means we are going to build emotional resilience so you can stay steady instead of starting over every time life gets busy.
Training becomes a practice, not just of movement, but of showing up with intention.Â
đ„ You have to WANT to choose consistency over chaos. And that comes with learning that effort doesnât have to be loud to be effective.
Strength that stays with you canât be built in a single session or even just a few. Itâs built through repetition, clarity, and coaching that respects your whole life, not just the hour you spend under the bar a few times a week.
The Made4More community exists for people who want to feel capable in their bodies and grounded in their lives.
If youâre someone who doesnât need more pressure but has been searching high and low for SUPPORT so you can move forwardâŠ
Â
đ Juan () and I are the people who are going to make you strong for LIFE.

Most of the people who find their way here arenât beginners at life.
Theyâve got full plates, the kind of people who are constantly showing up for others: family members, clients, patients, teams, & communities.
đ”âđ«Theyâre some of the most capable and reliable among usâŠbut theyâre exhausted.
Our people donât want the chaos of an instructor sprinting around a dark room, adding more FOR them, yelling motivation in their ear.
They need a steady hand, concise clarity, and gentle affirmation.
đ Sound at all like you?
Welcome, youâre EXACTLY who our space here in Portland (and remotely!) was built for.
Sure, you might be new to the barbell or making a comeback after years away from any kind of exercise equipment.
đ We see a lot of folks who find us after injury, burnout, anxiety, or just simply putting themselves last for waaaaay too long.
What every single person we work with has in common is this: they want strength that shows up in real life.
â
Not just muscle, but confidence.âšâ
Not just discipline, but self-trust.âšâ
Not just effort, but progress that actually lasts.
We donât need you to look a certain way and we donât need you to prove anything to us. Hell, we donât WANT that.Â
đ„ Our intention is that you build capacity, physically and mentally, so life feels more manageable, not heavier.
The goal isnât dependence on us. Itâs INdepedenceâŠand that comes from education, knowing WHY youâre doing what youâre doing so you can trust yourself again.
𫶠This space, our Made4More community, exists for people who are ready to stop treating their needs like an afterthought and start building strength that actually stays with them through anything life has in store.
This is strength for people with REAL lives.
This is confidence you can literally carry.
With us? Lift more. Live more.

3rd Squat 107.5kg
2nd bench 75kg (sat out my 3rd)
